Great app! But one thing…
Keep up the extremely great work!!!!

Hey Wowza! Thanks for the great review 🙏🏼 Have you tried toggling off Return Key Mode? You can find it in the settings of the app (via the gear symbols in the top right corner of the home page). With that toggled off, you can write multiple lines of lyrics in one section or just write one line then move on to the next section. If that’s not quite what you’re imagining, hit me up at thelyricsapp@gmail.com so we can discuss. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

SOOOOOOOO GOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!🫶
I have one question though if we ever get an update, will it delete our progress or will it keep it something I’m kind of worried about because I have a lot of songs and so much progress and it would be a shame to lose it all…
Response from developer
Hey, thanks for the great review! To answer your question, updates will not delete any of your songs. Also, if you make sure that iCloud storage is on for The Lyrics App (which you can manage in your phone’s settings), then all of your songs will be backed up to iCloud, meaning if you lose your phone or delete the app for some reason and then have to redownload it, all of your songs will be repopulated back into the app for you. It also means you can access all of your songs from The Lyrics App on any device where you’re logged in with your Apple ID, not just the device where you originally wrote them. You can also enable iCloud Drive for The Lyrics App, which will upload all of your lyrics and recordings into folders that you can access in your iCloud Drive. Hope this info is helpful!
Super clean and convenient! Some Ideas

Hey Libby! Thank you very much for the great review! I like the idea of increasing the collaborative potential of the app via some sort of sharing functionality. I’ll start brainstorming and looking into it. Also, if you have any specific ideas or examples of what you have in mind, email me at thelyricsapp@gmail.com. Cheers!
what happened?
It was never easy but this is beyond.
Try to end the recording of a line, takes numerous tries and by the time it finally actuates, making the flow that was so beautiful , nom-existent. For me, anyway.

Hey Gregg! Sorry to hear that it’s getting harder for you to tap those buttons. The latest version of the app now includes a larger button size you can select from the settings. I hope this helps!
This is the best songwriting app ever
I’m Liamhasamask (find me on SoundCloud)
And this app is completely perfect for on the go and fast writing. It’s literally the best like download it. Five stars.

Hey Liam! Thanks for the great review, sir. I’m truly honored.
Not a bad idea
Though it is very basic, what it needs is an intro tutorial to show you how to use the basic features, as well as a very easy-to-find way of leaving a review.
By default the “Return Key Mode” is set to ON. This would not be my default mode, and I found it rather perplexing why someone would even want that feature. A person would need to intuitively think, “I wonder if there’s a way to change this?” Then they have to go looking for it. It would be much better to have some simple instructions first - I mean, there’s not that many features, so it wouldn’t be that involved.
There should also be a link within the app to rate and review the app. I had to go back to the App Store and search for the app again.

Hey Major Seven! Thanks for the great feedback. That’s a good idea to add a link to leave a review. Currently there is an alert that pops up after a certain amount of time that prompts the user to provide feedback and submit a review if they want to, but a link in the settings would be great as well. Just to quickly address the comment about Return Key Mode being on by default, that decision was made based on a survey where a large majority of users preferred that mode of operation. I agree that the app is very simple, which is why a tutorial so far has not been added. However, now that one has been requested, I’ll take some time to look into adding one! I’m sure it would be beneficial. Thanks again for the great feedback and I hope you’re enjoying the app :)
I like the game so much

Glad you’re enjoying the app! Thanks for the review :)
Uhhhhh

Hey, thanks for the great rating despite the confusion regarding how to start writing a song. I’ll update the icon for starting a song to a more universally recognized icon so it’s more obvious. Glad you’re enjoying the app besides that :)
