iALS KEY FEATURES: •Resuscitation dashboard with clear displays of cycle, adrenaline and amiodarone counters •Clearly displayed two minute timer, total timer and start time •Intelligent algorithm guidance that can recalibrate to changes in drug delivery timings •Interventions and drugs logs •Arterial blood gas recorder and calculator •Handover function - seamlessly handover an arrest to another iOS device •H’s and T’s reversible causes table •Resuscitation log - send the log by email or copy to the dashboard at the end of the arrest iALS is a powerful and easy to use documentation and algorithm support tool for trained Advanced Adult Life Support (ALS) providers. The app has been designed and developed by clinicians regularly involved in cardiac arrests who understand the significant role human factors play. The aim of this app to help to reduce the impact of human factors, facilitate clear recording of events, and allow users to work through the ALS algorithm with confidence. iALS provides users with an intuitive and easily readable resuscitation dashboard. The dashboard displays timers as well as cycle and drug delivery counters. This provides the user with a clear overview of their place in the ALS algorithm. Alarms and voice guidance provide multi-sensory prompts to allow users to simultaneously lead and scribe during an arrest. iALS has the Resuscitation Council UK ALS algorithm built in, and will provide prompts for adrenaline and amiodarone appropriate to the cycle in the algorithm. If you give adrenaline or amiodarone out of cycle, iALS will take note of this, recalibrate, and only recommend it again on the alternate cycle. iALS allows the user to keep track of interventions. A top bar including access, airway, oxygen and Lucas allow the user to input specific interventions and keep track of what has already been done. Interventions can be removed and new ones added with ease. Every time a change is made, a clear timestamp is recorded in the log. Commonly used drugs can be found in the drugs entry button and when selected will be timestamped in to the log. There is also a function to add other events in free text. iALS also houses an inbuilt arterial blood gas (ABG) calculator to allow users to input ABG results, calculate the likely derangement and record the results into the log. There is also an easy to use H’s and T’s page where the user can confidently address possible reversible causes for the arrest. iALS is designed to be used by the multidisciplinary team and considers a patient’s providers from paramedics to intensive care specialists. The handover function allows the user who started the arrest to seamlessly transfer the iALS arrest recording onto the next users device. This allows the team member receiving the handover to have a clear overview of the arrest and continue with confidence from where the previous user left off. Once the arrest has finished the user will be able to send the log via email or copy it to their clipboard for precise timestamped recording of all the events during the arrest. iALS is a novel digital tool designed and tested by people who are regularly involved in cardiac arrests for accredited ALS providers Disclaimer: iALS is not to be used by individuals who are not advanced adult life support (ALS) accredited and does not replace accredited training by the Resuscitation Council UK. iALS is to be used by clinicians at their own risk and does not act as a tool to replace clinical judgement. The iALS algorithm support tool is only to be used alongside clinical judgement. iALS users should familiarise themselves with the app before using it in real life scenarios. What's New in iALS

1.3

January 17, 2021

• Opening the app for the first time takes you through a user guide to help understand the app better • The facility to handover from a manual resuscitation and to continue with iALS • Multipeer handover is now not automatic, a user must select a device to handover to which will allow multiple instances of iALS to run concurrently • An About tab in the main part of the app which provides contact details as well as a link to the starting guide • Tweaks to the user interface to improve the aesthetics • Tweak to the log which gives you a notification when the log has been copied. • Tweak to the app, if initiated when Bluetooth is off, will prompt the user to switch it on. • Tweak that the user is now able to undo a manual entry. • Bug in New session where the previous session information from the ABG interpreter and H+Ts was not cleared - this is now fixed.

Keeps data from the old log!

This app, when you start a new resuscitation, it keeps data from the old resuscitation in the log! This needs to be fixed! Until then, I can’t use the app.
