Penendex is a well crafted and very useful application. I have been collecting pens and inks for 40 years and my Stuff has gotten completely out of control. This app offers me an efficient way to take account of my holdings.

Whether you only have a couple of ones & inks or are into the 100’s, this is an excellent app for managing not only your pens & inks, but also pen shows! I really love the ability to mark inked pens for cleaning, as well as the wishlist function to track our next grail.
The pen show function allows you to plan out your visit by setting your budget, listing items you want to buy, any events or classes you plan on attending at the show, and a handy map of where it’s being held.

Pendex loses data— entire entries for pens, and all history of ink fills/cleaning. The January 2024 update erased all data I entered after late June of 2023, but retained data from January- June.
Pendex doesn’t work for collectors. The UI for “inking” a pen is incapable of distinguishing between two pens of the same model, even if they are different colors or nibs.
Pendex frustrates advocates. I was cheering for a Pacific Northwest developer. Now I regret I making the in-app purchase one year ago. I was hopeful & patient with deficiencies for a year. Including the unresponsive developer email address that rejects all feedback.
I tried using Pendex for a hobby I enjoy. Pendex detracts from enjoyment, increases frustration & friction, and creates a sense of loss.
Let this be some feedback for the developer and caution for anyone thinking this app will be fun and helpful for their fountain pen hobby.Show lessDeveloper Response
