Not for those who are upper A2 or higher

I feel like it has potential, however I feel it would work a lot better for a bigger audience if there was an option to do a placement test to have it put you in the right place or let you choose where your level is roughly for the free content rather than everyone has to start at the beginning. However, it is relatively easy to use, and for total beginners I definitely recommend. Just wasn’t useful to me and I can’t afford to subscribe on a stab in the dark.

Amazing App

I studied Spanish education in college and have been wanting to learn Italian as well. This app incorporates so many key language learning factors. I have only done the free trial lesson, but I can already tell it’s by far one of the best apps out there and one I will definitely be purchasing. It has a lot of things I’ve been wishing other apps had, and it very closely mimics an immersion setting (as much as you can really get without actually being immersed). I love the personal feel to it and I’m super excited about this app.

Great program for visual learners

Don’t think I found something so cool as this. It really feels like you are talking to people. I am taking the Italian and have only gone through 6 lessons so far but look forward everyday to meet my Italian family to talk through the language with me. I hope this program becomes more successful so you can add even more languages in the future.

ADHD Friendly!

This is a 100% honest review. I found out about Kleo when watching some of my favourite bilingual YouTubers. I rarely stick to any learning based app for long. I have pretty severe ADHD and even though I desperately want to learn Spanish, I hadn’t found an app or any other content that kept me engaged.

The pace of this app is excellent. Unlike Duolingo (sorry to name drop), it doesn’t keep repeating extremely basic words over and over (milk, apple, woman). Duolingo drives me crazy, I lose my patience just going over the same things over and over and over. On Kleo you learn a great range of truly useful words quickly, they explain how and why they are used, and it’s probably the most engaging app I’ve ever used. I love the characters and the story, and I feel genuinely encouraged to keep going.

I’m currently living in Mexico with my boyfriend (who is Mexican but we talk in English), but his family can’t speak English - so I really want to learn to speak Spanish. This app along with “The Language Tutor” on YouTube has been basically my entire resource of learning. Yes I am living in a Spanish speaking country, but I can’t concentrate on conversations in Spanish happening around me for long enough to learn it. This app is really really helping me build the foundation I need to understand these conversations. I actually don’t feel frustration using this app, whereas I do with others and give up or get bored quickly. Thanks Kleo :)

Oh lastly, I never normally pay for apps either but this one has me hooked from their trial sessions (I picked up what they were teaching instantly) that I decided to give it a go for a month.

Adding a sixth star!!!!!!

Updating my note to say - it was amazing when I started and now it’s part of my day. I have never been able to stick with something for more than 1 week - and now - I’m going on 7 months straight with this app. I have reached a point where my confidence is where I want it and I speak Spanish pretty naturally. And it’s all thanks to pushing myself in this app every day. But - More Spanish lessons please.

Fun way to keep me motivated

This app is keeping me motivated to learn. I love the family dynamic of your “teachers” and the visuals is seeing them and feeling like you’re interacting with them. But the new practice list feature is why I’m finally getting around to rating it. Love the new feature. I’ve never had any issues running the app, it’s andata very smooth and there’s a lot you can do with it. I’m learning a lot of grammar rules in a fun engaging way.

Literally this app has become my go-to, replacing all the various tools I was cobbling together in my hard-headed determination to be able to speak Spanish without having to psych myself up every time. The one thing I was finding myself wanting - they actually did it!! I can save words in my own lists to practice!! I had been writing them down in a notebook and marking where they were in the app so I could go back and practice them. And it took a lot of time. So now I already put all those words in lists in the feature, and I am the happiest!! THANK YOU THANK YOU

Wish I found this app sooner

Have tried and tried to speak Spanish on and off for years. a friend told me about this app, but I took a while to try it because I had tried them all. THIS. this is what I needed. It’s like I’m on zoom with friends there to practice with me whenever I have time. i am excited for them to add more and more lessons as I’m spending lots of time with the course. oh - and add more of Rafael please!

The description is misleading

Since most of this is not in my target language, it is unfair to call it language immersion. It’s closer to AR, but I’m the AR being beamed into an incredibly pleasant rando’s home.
I like the actors a lot. I would like the lessons a lot if I completely starting from scratch.
I like that I can skip ahead.
There’s a lot of good stuff here, but language immersion it is not.

Kleo offers an immersive experience which enables you become adept at various languages by placing you in situations which you might actually find yourself in. Learning languages can actually NOT be a bore.
