A metronome has no need to be behind a five dollar a month pay wall
  • Free version has virtually no functionality

The free version of this app has virtually no functionality; it just counts BPM that you tap out as you listen to another music source. Every other control on the app sends you too a splash screen that tries to get you to pay $3/month. Extremely deceptive.
  • Doesn’t look free to me…

    $1.99 a week or $2.99 a month?! Highway robbery… Give me a week I’ll put something together…

Hey Mmdeveloper, We totally get it – those prices might make you think we're selling the secret to time travel! Rest assured, though, it's just a subscription, not a gold-plated rocket ship. We promise the app is worth it, but if you really do build something amazing in a week, we'll be your first customers! Stay awesome, Devnex 🚀✨
  • Works, but there are better options…

This is simple BPM app, where you manually tap to the beat/song you’re detecting the BPM of.

While it works fine, it’s not what I was really looking for.

There’s other apps out there that auto-detect BPM and also give you a confidence rating if the song is detected by Shazam in the app.

    Much nicer and easier.

  • Slimey.

They put me on a $2 weekly plan when I agreed to a $3 monthly plan. I didn’t get hit. Canceled during free trial. There are other apps that do this same thing free with ads. Not worth it. Especially if they’re pulling fast ones.

The most accurate I’ve found is called Metronome (go figure). App icon is white with a black “60” and 3 yellow lines.

  • Great!

    You should add Ableton Link!
  • Disappointed

I enjoyed this app until it started popping up an “upgrade to pro” screen. Unfortunately, the X to close the pop up was so high up in the left corner, I couldn’t tap it to close the window. I had to close the app and relaunch to get back to the counter. I happily deleted the app.

Hi there, Thank you very much for your review. In the last update, regrettably, we included some issues that were not supposed to be introduced. Usually, we can be quick and agile to resolve this, but unfortunately, we are unable to do so at this moment due to unforeseen circumstances. Quality is important to us, and we strive to keep all our users satisfied with our products, both free and paying users. Since we’re unable to resolve this right now, we can offer you a free subscription as compensation for your inconvenience. Please email us at info@devnex.nl. Kind regards, Pepijn Devnex
  • Free version is too limited

With the free version you can tap the beat and get an accurate reading providing you tap for awhile. However, that’s ALL you get. If you want to save a list of songs with their bpm you’ll need to pay $2.99/ month. Every control on the screen sends you to the “upgrade to Pro version” page. In the mean time they’re tracking your activity across all apps. I will uninstall as soon as I find something better.

  • Beware subscription

    Lust for $$$$ !
You know where to shove your subsection model.
  • Not very good

I didn’t like this one very much at all no clear instructions just tap and several bpm’s come up which is confusing
