Leave a Review City Takeover
Disappointed
I payed for this when it was just taking over buildings, buying skins and weapons for your character and changing the landscape. I did make another purchase to get other stuff, but I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t a necessity to progress in the game.
What is all this other crap going on? Getting tiles to move around and such. I didn’t and don’t care about any of that. And why do I find it so difficult to get coins? They put you in basically impossible to win levels, unless you spend coins to use an upgrade. When you don’t have coins, you have to pay real money to get them in order to move on. And all these extra things with tickets and gems?? Why?!
It was fun before and I will chalk it up to money spent and gone now. No ads is fun, but I get pop-ups about power-ups I could get if I watched an ad. It’s like an inception of ads.
Ads inside of ads. Too much going on. You have to eventually spend money to progress. Just don’t have an interest and I will delete.Show lessLoses progress
I really enjoy this game. It has simple ten minute or so levels that make it a perfect unwind game for a busy life. There is definitely strategy involved and it has some interesting and fun side items. You earn coins and gems as you play and can use those to purchase characters with stronger stats. The only problem I have run into is that when the last update occurred the characters I bought with gems disappeared and I had to work towards purchasing them again from zero (or maybe 4) gems because they did not give gems back when they took the character away. I didn’t pay anything for it so no big deal, but if you plan to pay for this game it’s good to be aware. There doesn’t seem to be a way to contact the developer about the problem so …if you pay be aware.Show lessNew levels require ads to win with x2 boost
I've always liked this game and played through it many many times when there were only 70 unique levels that looped. I even paid for no ads. At first I was excited that the update brought new levels, but then I found there are many that put you so far behind at the start that you literally cannot win without watching an ad for the x2. When I've already paid for no ads, this feels very disingenuous. I feel all levels should be possible without the boost, which ultimately takes all strategy out of the levels since you just drag and win with no thought. But instead some levels give the enemy 3 of those new double attack/defense towers right at the start with no way for you to whittle them down before they start getting MAX. Disappointing, makes me not want to play anymore.Show less
