Fun game and really F2P friendly
I’m really enjoying this game so far and excited for other updates in the future. The re-roll system is fast and the rates for all the characters are the same. A very balanced gacha system and easy character building.
An overall good game
(This review is made after playing for 2 days)
So, to start off I have no previous experience with Touhou project apart from knowing some character designs, the music and that it has heavy Japanese folklore for inspiration.
I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of story, but it was very beginner friendly. Introducing everyone at a good pace and giving you details of the world. I also like that it’s implemented into the gameplay by “friends” and “story cards”. Something you don’t usually see to often.
The gameplay is, at the moment, pretty interesting and requires some thought for major battles.
At first I simply went for building up power and releasing it all at once. But then the chapter one final boss destroyed me.
However by effectively using skills, barriers and element advantages, the fight was much more even.
Their are a lot of mechanics I’m still wrapping my head around, which is great in my opinion as it shows that this isn’t like most turn based games. At the same time however, it does mean remembering everything can be a bit hard.
There are also some smaller details I like, for example the voices. You can change the way a characters voice sounds from 3 options, allowing to pick something that works for you. Again very small detail, but one I like.
The only complaints I really have (at an early point) is that there isn’t too much to do. There’s the story with different difficulties and daily quests, but nothing else. This is however a new game, so that can easily be put to the side for now.
The second issue, which is really minor, is the dialogue choices in story. From what I have seen, no matter what you pick the dialogue will remain the same, this is somewhat fine since the choice is more creating your characters personality, since the choices are usually the same thing worded differently, or would come to the same conclusion.
But, then there are times that at first really confused me from characters responses until I looked back at the options. On some occasions the options are one sentence split in two, so if you picked option one, the characters response wouldn’t make sense unless you combined it with option B.
Again this is just a very small issue I have with it.
Anyway, I highly recommend you check out this game if you like turned based combat games at least, as this game has some familiarity but a lot of unique additions that help it stand out.

Great but still needs work
The game is stunning with the graphics and visuals, and I love the fun dialog and fan music. But this comes at a price as the game keeps crashing for me and won’t let me play through levels or even upgrade my characters. My internet connection isn’t the problem, as I’ve played Magia Record and Food Fantasy and other games without a problem. While this game’s concept is fun and good, I feel this release is still in its infancy and needs some polishing.

It's enjoyable but....
It only came out so I'm not gonna criticize it that much but my problem with this is that it takes such a long time to even unlock the enchancement option when some of the stages are hard to beat without leveling up your character. the gacha rates are fine! can't wait for flandre to get added in this version!

I would recommend giving it a try even if you’ve never played a Touhou game.
The tutorial is relatively fast and easy to understand in comparison to some other games I’ve played so if you have usually trouble remembering the controls playing games don’t worry.
the storyline is very interesting and it just makes you feel as if you’re really in the game itself and the amazing quality of the background and characters. The added feature that you can choose your own character’s name and the fact that it appears in the storyline also contributes to that feeling but even if I couldn’t feel immersed in the storyline I would still be able to enjoy the game.
The soundtrack also hits different than in any other games but in a very good way, I think every game needs some good gameplay and even better music and this game managed to carry this out without any trouble. It seems to have done that to a level I never thought was possible.
I do wish I had something I could recommend in order to improve the game but unfortunately I do not currently.

Really fun game since launch
I downloaded this game a couple days before it was scheduled to be released. I had little expectations and was not really interested but wanted to start a new game.
Blew me out of the water. This game has so much potential and I really like this game. 🙂

Smaller Than It Looks
The game looks pretty, but that’s it. Nothing to do. Just play one level, the only difference being the enemies. This game is when you out all your money into visuals, but forget the actual game. If this is how the global version is treated, you might as well not make it at all and start gatekeeping whatever fanbase you have.

Amazing!!!!
This game is honestly well made. Not only that but the art for this game is outstanding!!! The characters are really pretty and it’s just really good. The gacha system is also well made and the rates aren’t too bad!
Really good so far
Saw an ad on Facebook for this game and liked the page to stay tuned and I’m not disappointed, it’s a good game , nice to look at and cool character design. Really looking forward to the future of this game and what it brings
