Leave a Review Qube Money
Great Replacement for defunct Simple Bank app!!!
I’m really bad at managing my finances. With the Simple Bank app, I actually got to a point where I wasn’t living paycheck to paycheck. When that app/service shutdown, I slowly but surely got into a bad place with my money again. I searched for a similar app for a long time, but could not find one. Finally, about a year ago, a friend who had also used Simple sent me an invite/referral for Qube! Hallelujah!!! I am still recovering from my poor asset management, so I haven’t fully utilized the budgeting features in Qube yet, but even the features I have used have helped immensely. I’m slow to adopt new workflows, so that’s on me, not Qube. They have lots of videos to help you learn how to use the app, so I’m gradually implementing more features into my workflow and looking forward to getting back on top of my finances and taking advantage of all of the useful features this app has to offer. The annual fee is well worth it, especially if it can help prevent a similar fate as what happened to Simple. Many thanks to the Qube team for creating an app that can truly change a person’s relationship with their finances!Show lessGreat app! Saves me money!
Pros: Benefits of cash envelope budgeting, but it’s an easier to use digital version! Saves me from overdrafting, saves me any of those fees! Helps me get on track with my spending and stay on track. Oh so nice! Going through everything and getting this set up made me pay attention to some areas I could save money. I ended up saving about $60/month (or more) by cutting out the fat. Helped me make sure my spending was below my income. If you set it up right, it keeps your money safe, and companies can’t get you with unexpected charges! (For instance, I used it to stop payment on an annoying magazine subscription that would have been difficult to cancel otherwise.) Instant money transfer to friends or family if they’re using this app. And I’m sure there are other pros I’m not thinking of. Cons: Monthly fee for all of the features. But it’s worth it to me I think. No savings interest earning options or investment options. But I suppose there’s other places to get that done. This app is mostly devoted to controlling your spending (and it’s a great tool for that.) My first money couple transfers from Qube to my other bank took almost a week. But it seems like it’s down to just a day or two now. Not bad. ❤️ Takes a little time to manage your budget. But this isn’t really a con, it forces you to pay a little attention. And I believe it’s faster and more effective and more convenient than any other budgeting method I’ve used.Show lessSlow start, but otherwise game changer
My wife and I struggled to follow our monthly budget for years. We’d make a budget, do our best to track expenses, but we’d always let things pile up. We never knew how much money we had left in each category. There was also nothing that stopped us going over when we felt like we “needed” to buy something. qube money changed that. For the first time in years, we’re staying on budget. We’re making the decisions right at checkout. It’s not burdensome and the layout is nice. I only have two real complaints. First, the website is still in beta. The app is where you should do all your work. The website still has bugs and I’ve run into buttons that don’t work. So for now, focus on the app. Second, it took a LONG time to get started. The debit cards took 3 weeks to arrive. So you sign up, then just wait. Also, moving money between my regular bank and qube is slow. I found that if you push from your bank instead of pulling from the qube side, it’ll take 1-2 business days instead 3-5. We’re slowly figuring out the best way to cash flow things, but other than that, this is a great product. Hope the company lasts a long time!Show less
