A bit american with the units…

The app is nice and intuitive, but it won’t let me add my body measurements in anything else other than ft/inch and lbs… I don’t have an issue with this being the default, but I would also like to have the option to switch to metric, as you can't do that. I had to google and convert my measurements, and it feels silly when 95% of the world uses metric units for height and weight.

This is also a minor thing but I think it can improve user experience. It asks you for what country you are in, but then the default currency is in dollars. When searching on the search bar to change this, I wrote “pounds” and nothing showed up. I wrote “sterling” and again nothing. I had to start typing United Kingdom for it to show.

Not worth it

Not worth downloading now that they are a subscription based app

This App was great…until they added a subscription

I got this app last year and I was working to get my whole closet into it. It was great because it had easy to use editing features to remove backgrounds and models, you could import images from websites which I loved, and it even had cool suggestions and calendar options to plan or record outfits. There were things I was hoping would be improved over time like perhaps more material options, but overall the app was great. I stopped using the app for about 5 months because I didn’t have internet access and the app wouldn’t work offline which was disappointing and unhelpful when traveling.
Imagine my surprise when I came home and reconnected to WiFi to find that I can’t use the app anymore because they have moved to a monthly subscription mode. I’m so disappointed as I really did enjoy the app and would love to keep using it. I would even consider upgrading to a pro version for a 1 time reasonable fee, but the convenience or novelty of having my wardrobe on my phone is not worth a monthly subscription. Too bad. It was a keeper.

Like it & could use more features

I started using the app to to be more conscious of the clothes I already own and aren’t wearing. It has great features for this: seeing cost per wear, seeing your total closet investment $, etc. It has made me think twice about purchasing new clothes and has encouraged me to pull things out that I’ve neglected.

Since I use it specifically to address use and consumption, I use the outfit of the day calendar tracker and style settings the most. A few suggestions for feature enhancement: 1) when logging outfits, allow a search by brand, 2) adding new brands takes too many steps, 3) make Style Stats easier to open versus navigating to settings, 4) photo colors look very off when they go through the AI tool. They don’t look that dark/dingy on my camera roll, when uploading garments you’ve owned for years, it would be nice to choose whether to depreciate the cost of the item- some items I’ve worn a lot over 2-3 years, so the cost-per-wear gets skewed when it starts calculating from the date uploaded/logged.

Ruined a good thing

I really enjoyed using Acloset for months, until they overnight (with no warning) introduced a subscription model. I couldn’t even access my clothes or archive to delete some to get under the 100 item limit because a stupid banner comes up. Not only that, but any time you do anything now a 20 second long unskippable ad shows up. I would have been happy to keep using the app despite the clothing limit but it has become impossible. Sad to have lost all the time I spend adding clothes and outfits. Before then it was a great app. Thankfully I saved screenshots of my outfits. I understand the need to monetise but this was a terrible move by the developers.

Too expensive and disappointing

I got this app before they started adding ads and making people pay and it used to be the most excellent digital clothing app i ever used. But now i can no longer add anymore clothes or plan outfits on this app. Its ridiculous how they have multiple types of memberships for different amounts of saves you can have with ridiculous prices (you also have to pay monthly or yearly meaning you cant keep the membership by paying once). I spent DAYS scanning most of my clothes (i have so many clothes that i still haven’t scanned all yet) and now i can no longer use this app anymore. This app wasted so much of my time and energy and it is disappointing. Also, this app’s AI is bad at outfit recommendations because i registered so many pieces of clothing and it still recommends me the same boring fits every day. I didn't think this was a big deal when the app used to be free but now that not the case anymore, i honestly think this AI stuff isn’t worth this price. Either make this app worth its price or don’t expect users to pay. So ridiculous

Easy to Use, exactly what I needed

I tried a few different closet apps and this was the best I found. As someone who knows what I have based on the brand, I prefer Acloset’s closet layout over Stylebook where clothes are sorted by style.

Overall, my only complaint was the lack of categories, colors and occasions. Vacation or resort wear would be nice (travel seems to imply travel clothes). I also found myself wanting metallic hues like rose gold and champagne, hot pink or brighter hues and ivory/off-white in addition to cream.

Categories seemed to lack the most. Joggers and cargo pants would be nice, as well as an option for cut— boyfriend, oversized, flare, straight leg, boot cut, etc. I also would like to see a place to add specific colorways for denim washes.

This app WAS amazing!

This was such a good app until they decided to turn it into a subscription. I don’t mind paying for things, I get it, people have to earn a living, but $40 for just the basics is a bit of an overreach.

Not happy with the subscription fee

Why the subscription fee?? Not a fan of this and will probably stop using it!

Tried most of these apps, this is the winner!

Better than the others due to being able to edit photos easily direct from within the app!! Way quicker to have a beautifully curated wardrobe.

If I could edit / add my own categories and occasions it would be 5 stars.
