Unusable

Please fix the bugs. Can’t reserve books as all my loans I have already returned haven’t been registered as given back. And my reservations are still “waiting” although I have already picked them up! I can’t use the app at all and can’t even log out (it says there’s a server error?)

No real bugs or issues but a few recommendations

I’m not having any of the issue that other reviews have reported, so I’m assuming these issues have been fixed.
I would love if there were a way to save books to a list as you can do on the website, so I can refer back to titles I’m interested in borrowing.
There is also no real way to “browse” the catalogue; the limit being that you can only browse through new titles. Any other books you need to do a specific search for keywords from title or author.
I would love for this to be an app where I can leisurely browse through books, save to a list for later, as well as leave and read reviews from other users.

Glitches and clunky

Did not accept my password initially which requires direct intervention from the staff at the library (who are fabulous). Problems with reserving (has sent to wrong library not allowing to select the correct library branch). Also issues with self service (often error message comes up but later shows up as loaned out).
Cannot easily see whether a book is already on loan or available at your library branch.

Terrible

The old app was far superior to what is installed now. Often can’t access information, why change if it is not working and providing service to library members.

My local library is not available for reservations

The Murrindindi shire seems to have been left out of the drop down list of locations available for reservations when using an iPhone.

Thank you for your feedback. Our developers have added Murrindindi to the drop down lists as a reservation pickup location.

Poor compared to previous app

This new app for YPRL completely lacks usable when it comes to browsing the library catalogue. I used the previous app extensively to search the library catalogue for audio books and picture books, which I saved to a list for return reference. I can’t figure out how to browse for anything without doing a specific keyword search and there’s no option to save titles. Bleugh.

Inferior App, very disappointing

Other reviews have identified problems with this app for the iPhone and iPad, which is the copyright of 2020 SOLUS UK Ltd. Here’s what SOLUS says:

The app is customised for each site, with branding and the look and feel designed by the library.”

Yarra Plenty Regional Library is the developer. It would appear that YPRL has failed to understand what its customers want and has thus failed with its brief to SOLUS.

YPRL should bring back the old app until it fixes this one.

Useless

My loans show as ‘null’. Surely this should be fixed nearly two months after the new app was introduced.
No option to suspend holds.
No browsing functions. Just a basic search.
Not worth installing.

Bring back the old app

If this is meant to be an improvement you have failed miserably. Not only does app not work, but promises to fix it are just noise. This app is unusable on an Iphone or Ipad and has been for months. You had a great app and you have dumped it for this dud. What a tragedy.

No good

Please fix the glitches and bring back the old features! E.g: where are the Just Ordered and New Arrivals lists? Also, I can no longer renew items through the app (they all appear as “null”). The old app was much better
