Excellent App
I have used this logger for several trips now, recently including Copenhagen, Bergen, and then a cruise stopping in Greenland and Iceland and it’s great to be able to retrace my streps after getting home. I am able to overlay the GPX track log over the GPS photo info recorded by my camera in Lightroom and fill the location gaps between the photos.
I do have trouble getting the time stamps on the waypoints to match up to the local timestamps in the photos without editing the GPX files to fix up the times. Still trying to figure out the best way to do this as Lightroom does have a track offset function but it doesn’t remember it between sessions and it’s not very useful for trips across multiple time zones with just a single GPX file.
I believe that this is really a Lightroom problem, of course, and not a fault of this app. The Lightroom map module has other bugs I’ve reported to no avail so work-arounds are needed.
So this is a wonderful app—indispensable for world travelers. Don’t hesitate to get it.

Wow 😮! Firstly, thank you so so very much for taking the time to write such a long and flattering review. I made the app for myself initially, but eventually decided to polish it up and bit and make it available on the App Store in case it was helpful to anyone else too. Funnily enough, I myself also travelled to Copenhagen with it once (lovely city!) Hmm, I wonder if there’s something I can tweak in the GPX export format that could help you with the time offsets. I know GPX timestamps have to be UTC format (ISO 8601) but if you think there’s something I can tweak in the gpx format that would help (without breaking it for other users) then let me know - my email is in the feedback and thanks section of the app. (I am crazy-busy at the moment though, so might take a few weeks, but happy to try something out if it’s a case of a simple amendment to the GPX format that doesn’t negatively affect other users)
Easy, flexible, reliable

Hi 👋 thanks so much for kindly writing a lovely review for my app. Glad you find it useful 👍. Yup, that ‘uses minimal battery’ part was the most difficult challenge when coding it, but eventually managed to achieve it (thankfully). Any probs feel free to drop me an email (my address is in the ‘feedback and thanks’ section of the app.
Great App!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a lovely review 🙂 - I had originally made the app for myself, and then decided to polish it up a bit and pop it on the App Store in case it was useful to others too. As you can tell, I’ve tried to prioritise battery-usage; this was the biggest challenge (continuously trying to fetch the most accurate location data without causing significant battery drain), and am really glad that the balance seems to work out well in that respect for users (like yourself) that are conscious of it. Any probs / questions feel free to ping me an email (my address is in the feedback/thanks section of the app) 👍
App works well
Response from developer
Thank you for your kind review. To answer your question: ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ 🫤 To explain: ‘Yes’, the app needs to be running in the background for it to work (it doesn’t need to be in the ‘foreground’ - I.e. you can use other apps while it’s in the background, or lock your phone, but just don’t ‘quit’ / ‘kill’ the app by swiping up on it in the app switcher). Having said that, ‘No’, because even if the app ISN’T running in the background (say if it has been ‘killed’ or you have restarted your phone e) , once you have moved by a significant amount (approx 500 meters) the app will *automatically* launch itself into the background anyway. If you have any more questions, please feel free to get in touch via the email address on the ‘Feedback & Thanks’ section of the app 🙂
Perfect so far
Saves me hours. Give this person 5 starts it’s nothing short of perfect for my needs.
Response from developer
That just made my day, thank you kindly! Very glad you find the app useful.
perfect, works as described
feature request: it would be nice to have support for "approximate" location; visualizing location during a flight almost works, but approx locations aren't recorded in the app, i think
Response from developer
Thanks so very much for that - always so lovely and uplifting to receive a glowing review like yours ☺️. Logging during a flight is tricky because the device will have tremendous difficulty in determining its location (just like with any maps app); mine has *occasionally* logged a ‘pin’ mid-flight though. No plans currently to offer ‘approximate’ location logging I’m afraid, it’s ’best accuracy’ only. Thanks again for taking the time to leave your review - so nice to receive 👨💻🙏
Perfect and private

🥳Thank you so much for taking the time to give my app its first written review from the Aussie App Store!🎉 I’m so glad you like it and find it useful; always interesting to hear of the different use-cases for it. Any issues at all feel free to drop me a line (my email address is in the ‘feedback & thanks’ section of the app)
Perfect

Thank you so so much - reviews like this really make my day! 😊👨💻 I tried hard to make the type of app that I would want for myself, so I’m very glad it’s appreciated by others too, thanks so much.
Great app!
I have been searching for a free location tracking app that will collect my location data without needing to manually push a button to check-in each time, and be able to generate location reports over a specific date range. This is the only app I found that does all of these things. The app developer also responds to emails with any questions.

That’s really great to hear - thank you so very much for writing such a kind and detailed review 🙏 Day: Made ✅👨💻☺️

Many thanks indeed for taking the time to leave a review 🙏 Am chuffed to bits that my app seems to suit you/your needs. I built it thinking what *I* would want from an app like this, and so I’m very glad others (such as yourself) also seem to find it useful too - thanks again! 🙂
