  • Bad app for the product

    I bought this light strip for the space above the kitchen cabinets. The light strip is okay and easy to install. The Keepsmile app to use with these lights is so frustrating that I'm ready to pull the light strip out and throw it away. In the app, there is a function to set a timer so the lights come on/go off at a time you set. It NEVER comes on at my selected time. Right now, it is set to turn on at 6:00 pm daily and off at 9:30 pm nightly. It will come on anytime between 7 pm and 9 pm...never consistent. Tonight, I manually turned it on at 7:30 pm because it was not coming on. I don't know when it finally goes off because I usually go to bed before it goes off some time after 9:30 pm.
    The other annoying thing with this app are the ads. When you open the app, they show all of their Keepsmile products to buy plus when you click on your device to control it, you get other ads. Today when I opened the app to turn the lights on, I had to wait for the "commercial" to get done before I could proceed to the device managment and turn on the light. The light strip works from the app via Blutooth and not via your wifi. This means your device wiht the app has to be present to even turn on the lights. Don't waste your money or else put up with the headache and hassle.

  • TOO MANY ADS

    It’s so annoying that when ever I try to turn off my lights for the night it shows me a minute long ad. It’s whenever I open the app, I feel like the pop up ads are fine because I can just close those but when I open the app there’s a long ad. I don’t feel like it’s fair that it’s every time I open up the app. I feel like the makers of this app should at least not have an ad every single time I (or anyone) opens the app, it’s super inconvenient and takes up too much time. Maybe just have it every few times you open the app or just not have it at all. Pop up ads are okay though because i can just close them if I’m not interested. I know ads provide the people who make the app and product money but doesn’t buying the lights already give the company money? I hope the creators consider not having the long ads every time you open the app. Thank you for reading this

  • Lights

    The lights where great until I moved to a different place and tried using to other set of light strips. They do not work correctly. When I turn the on(hardly ever works), they are green and only stay on green, if I try changing to color it just turns a darker or lighter green. BUT at certain places of the ground that I put the little weight box on It will change to the original coloring so I could change it to the colors I want.

    The app is not that good, it does not give me an orange. when I go to the color orange, it gives me a limish yellow. they need to upgrade the colors so that it can turn orange on the app. For the remote, yes, it can be changed to orange. But I would like to be able to use app to find different colors and shades of orange.
