Reviews of Monthly Budget

  • Almost perfect

I’ve been using the other expense tracker app and it was fantastic. I just wish it had a search feature.

This app is much more pretty and colorful but I wish there were just a couple more features. I will subscribe for sure if they were added. If there was a search feature to find exactly how much something was when I am asked would be great. Also if there was more reoccurring options instead of just daily, monthly, etc. an annually would be awesome.
  • Great app, easy to analyze & track spending

This is great. Perfect layout, nice and simple. Took a couple minutes to set up but fairly straightforward and intuitive. You first set an income amount and how often it comes in (monthly, weekly, 2x a month, etc). Fixed expenses like rent, phone plan, and gym membership go under “expenses” and are deducted automatically at the date you set (monthly, weekly, etc). Then variable costs like entertainment, groceries, etc, are “funds” that you allot an amount for and then spend out of over the course of the month. The app makes it easy to tweak, so if, for example, you realize by the end of the month you’re not allocating enough to your “grocery” fund, you can just get in and adjust the amounts as your income, spending habits or saving goals change.

I just got it, but so far it seems like a really convenient and well-designed app. It’s very similar to how I was tracking expenses and income on paper before, but much easier to use and customize, gives me a much better picture of my spending habits. A+
