Reviews of My Aquarium Guide

  • No Aquarium or Aqua-Scape designer should be without

I have four aquariums that started as artistic Aquascapes that turned into planted Aquariums. From works of art to growing lots of Lucky Bamboo with rocks, driftwood and grass all over glow in the dark substrate.

I started selling some of my Lucky Bamboo and made gifts out of them as well. I use all kinds of Aquarium safe crystal’s, many which are blacklight reactive. I was hesitant to add any fish because when I was young my attempts ended in disaster for the fish.

But I love Male Betta Fish and have a new interest in fish that glow. I didn’t know where to begin until I found this website and guide. It gave me the confidence to add fish to each of my four planted aquariums. Lots of great information and beautiful pictures of the fish. Most importantly for me is the information about PH and Temperature because I have to match the right fish to the ideal conditions of my plants. Highly recommend!
  • For beginners only

This is not a very robust app. I've had it all of 10 minutes and am about to delete it. Originally thought it would be cool to easily see if i could add more fish to my tank. But i had to rate the app to unlock some of the fish and even after that, i still could not find the snails or crayfish i have. In order to add my plants, i have to pay to unlock them. From what i can tell, they also don't have all of my plants available and aside from the 50ish freshwater fish they have and the 20ish plants, it appears there is no way to obtain more options unless you have a completely different tank setup (ie saltwater or cichlids).
  • My honest rating

When I first downloaded the app, I thought paying 3 dollars for the plant section was fine, that was until I realized how small of a selection there was! No floating plants and missing things like long sword grass. It’s a good app for newbies, but I think it needs a more through update. I would also suggest adding different colors of fish so you can keep track of tanks and show others!
