App changes paragraphs and words be warned

So I downloaded this to help on my law class reading and using the scan it really changes a lot of the words around and changes verbiage in paragraphs using words later in the paragraph which is a critical detail in law readings which makes this app more harm than good. Deleting this app now, not worth messing up my grade in the class. There are other apps that read aloud for you without changing things. Also if you slow the reading voice below the 1.0 you have a crazy electronic hmmm in the background which makes that feature useless as well . Trash app

First experience discovery: Can’t read narrow New Yorker columns.

The scan apparently jumps the border between columns. What comes out is nonsense.

Very glitchy - I was charged and never upgraded to the premium version. Does not support most documents.

Hello, Sorry for your negative experience. We haven't experienced any issues about our premium model from other subscribers and it seems like working fine. We would like to look further into this issue if you can reach out to us from readbit@mediate.tech and describe what happened in detail.

So far so good

Okay, so still early days but so far so good, even without the subscription. There’s plenty of (albeit robotic) voices and speed settings. Personally don’t mind robotic voices, as long as the diction is okay, so that’d fine by me. And there’s easy to find options to include/exclude URLs and brackets too!
It’s super easy to import things as well, and the UI is very easy to use.

Just wish my readings didn’t use Harvard citing as well as putting important info in brackets so I could have it skip the mid-text citations, but ah well lmao

Dream come true

This app saves me so much time that would otherwise go to waste in the traffic or doing my laundry. And it even reads faster than I do!

Love this !

I study anthropology at college and I get hundreds of pages of research articles as weekly assignments. I normally get very bored and distracted when reading, but when I use this reader I can actually can get done with all the articles on time without getting bored.

Good

There’s certainly a learning curve in terms of scanning the documents/book pages with my phone to make it recognizable to the AI. Once I understood how it works, this app is very useful. You have to make sure the page is flat and the lines are straight. Otherwise, the texts will be shuffled. This is the best free reading app among the similar apps so far.
