Fantastic

I am using oVRcome to help with my fear of heights. I am extremely pleased with my results. After working through the first 4 modules I learned about my fears and how they produced physical responses. These modules helped me understand about the fear and provided me with techniques I could use to help me cope with the fear. Then the module using the VR headset allowed me to practice using these techniques. I was amazed at the results. I was able to use the VR simulation of mountain climbing and view the spectacular scenes from this height. There are many simulations and I continue to work through them. I am using these same techniques with my fitness programs that have scenes with very high vistas (even outer space) and I am able to remain calm and enjoy the surroundings. Before using oVRcome I panicked whenever I encountered one of these vistas and had to shut down the fitness program. The oVRcome app is helping this 66 year old manage her fear of heights as well as helping me to use fitness programs that are helping to improve my physical well being.

Very very terrible

I tried this before and it did not help one bit in fact it made it worse, but I thought I should give it a second try and it also did not work I regret spending $300 on this app. A week later I was talking to my coworkers who were also using this app and they all say it’s a terrible app and that’s why it says your rated 2.8 stars on the Apple App Store.
Hated that experience and will definitely not recommend.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience, especially considering the substantial bill. A charge of $300 does not correspond to any of our current subscriptions, as our annual plan is $199. We would like to understand more about the pricing you were charged. If this is a genuine concern, please contact support@ovrcome.io to resolve and invite your coworkers to do the same. If you come forward to confirm that this is a genuine complaint, and we are able to identify your subscription, we will further donate $500 to a charity of your choice.

Not reliable

You can’t test it. There’s no way to know if what your getting is true. Poor reviews prior to trying.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. Our overall Apple Store rating is currently 4.1 stars with many positive and heartwarming reviews, and we have published two clinical trials confirming the app's efficacy. While individual experiences may differ, we trust in our product and its effectiveness. It's therefore very hurtful to receive a 1-star review from users who have not tried the app and do not review the actual experience or effectiveness of it. This can prevent users who could benefit from our programs from accessing the product due to speculation. If you have any questions about the product, our Support Team would be happy to assist you. In the meantime, I'd kindly ask you to review your rating and consider the implications it can have on others trying to access help. If you have any specific concerns or need assistance, please contact us at support@ovrcome.io. We appreciate your understanding and are here to help.

Acrophobia

My mother took me to see Towering Inferno when I was 9. That gave me acrophobia, which has been debilitating throughout my life, whenever I am up high. OVRcome was affordable, had helpful staff, the vr goggles were provided, and I downloaded the app onto my cell phone, where I was able to learn the theory behind phobias, the irrational thinking types, and tools to use when I am up high, amongst other theory. I went through all 125 VR simulations multiple times. Sometimes 30 times for particular simulations. Then, after using my son’s oculus VR headset for 360 you tube videos, I went on to real life situations to practice. I have been up 33 stories in a glass elevator, 31 stories in an internal elevator, stayed on the 19th floor, and have just come back from New York, where I went up 102 stories to the top of the Empire State Building with ceiling to floor glass windows, plus an outside balcony on the 86th floor!!! Champion!!! My ultimate goal achieved. I could go up again too! OVRcome was an extremely helpful tool in overcoming acrophobia. I cant recommend it enough. If you have a phobia, you need this! It helps you control the phobia, rather than the phobia control you.

Flying Fear

Used oVRcome for my phobia of flying. It was very beneficial. The support staff always replied too! Happy to say phobia was alleviated and I was able to take my returns flights for the first in years. Thanks team.

Kiwis can fly

I want to thank this program for helping me Overcome my fear of flying to the degree I was able to complete the 3.5 hour flight with Air NZ to Niue last month and complete the return flight to Auckland after a great island holiday. The program worked as expected and with the outstanding AirNZ aircrew who knew about Overcome and helped immensely to relieve the stress of air travel for me. With AirNZ Wi-Fi improving and possible Starlink integration the app will help using in flight

Life Changing

I’ve had Trypanophobia (fear of needles) as long as I can remember and have seen many psychologists to help. I’m in my 20s and still completely terrified of them but this app has really helped me. Using the VR goggles I can work on my phobia at home when it suits me instead of paying for expensive therapy sessions and rushing them so I can get a vaccination or blood test. It’s so easy to use the app at home where I’m comfortable and in my own time, and I love the module structure that teaches me about my phobia and helps me work through it. I’m still working through the modules and am really impressed by how fast the goggles arrived, the accessibility of the app and the thought that’s been put into it all. Thanks for helping me with a lifelong limiting fear! I love that research and help is being developed with technology.

Very Helpful!

I’d been looking for an affordable way to try exposure therapy, and had almost given up but came across oVRcome and it’s been life changing!! Thank you to the developers!!

Very disappointed. Videos/VR blurry

Don’t spend your money on this; they talk a good game, but the VR videos are blurry (with or without the headset), and has no effect to help you.

Response from developer

Thank you for your review, and we are really sorry to hear that this was your experience. The videos are not typically blurry, and depending on the smartphone used, the quality of the videos can be further improved via the App Settings. While smartphone VR may not provide crystal-clear visuals, its quality is sufficient for successful exposure, as demonstrated in our clinical trials. If you have any questions or need assistance with improving the video quality, please reach out to our Support Team at support@ovrcome.io. We're here to help!
