  • Alright. Hope for improvement

    Great concept, pretty well executed.
Starts to run slow on less powerful devices when configuring more complicated layouts.
Also, the long-press option does not include any modifiers. I would like to Tap letter to type, but Hold a letter key to make it hold shift or Ctrl or Cmd.
Add this feature, and I can take the sluggish configuration.
  • Very good app overall

This app has a lot of very nice features and works seamlessly with other standard iOS keyboards. Very few bugs and glitches, and it rarely crashes. And when it does crash it never forgets my completed work or anything like that which is very nice.

I use this as a hobby linguist trying to make a better alphabet for English spelling, and I’m able to upload almost every Unicode character into the app and it always works perfectly with the more unique characters.

One major feedback I would suggest is haptic feedback, not only for typing but also for long-press buttons, like how Apple does if you want to add diacritics to a letter like á or something. When using this app I never feel like I know if I’ve pressed the button long enough to activate the new letter (and I usually haven’t).

But other than that, as the title says this is a very good app overall and has filled a useful niche interest of mine. It’s the only app I found that could fill my needs and it runs extremely well, so thanks!
  • Very useful app.

I never write reviews, but this app has fulfilled a very niche need of mine that I've been wanting for over 2 years and I just now found it. I've built a keyboard for typing English phonetically in the Cyrillic script, something I do for laughs with friends. I have my own orthography and different letters I use so having it all in 1 keyboard is extremely useful. The app is very easy to use, I was able to have my ideal keyboard in under a few minutes and I've never used the app before. Thank you for making this, it seems to be the only app of its kind.
  • Just what I wanted

I found this from Reddit and I’m absolutely in love. I like the idea of ð and þ in the modern day English alphabet and this makes it possible without icelandic spell corrections.
  • An idea for long press keys

I really like your keyboard. The idea i have is to have two keys in the gray header that allows the user to see how the keys are programmed for shift & unshift.
    Thanks agianlinefor your app.
  • Doesn’t work with Apple Hardware iPad Keyboard

Doesn’t work with Apple’s own hardware keyboard; such as Apple folio keyboard. This was the only app that lets you build an accessible keyboard like Dvorak left hand (shame on Apple as that’s standard in MacOS and Windows), but difficult to use without external keyboard support
  • Thank you

Thank you for developing this app. I am able to type on iPad with the dvorak left-handed keyboard. I am wondering if this can work with an add on iPad keyboard. Thanks again!
  • Really cool app

Keybuild is great. It took me a while to figure out, but now I’ve got a great keyboard. I’m really looking forward to future updates. Worth every penny!
  • Almost Exact

This is what I was specifically looking for but not quite.

    Areas to improve:
Alternate way to symbols (found it)
    word recommendations/spell checker
    Backspace cant go fast

    Areas perfect:
Can change each key to almost any unicode character
    Multiple keyboards supported
