Great start, but missing a ton
I’ve been an early supporter from the very beginning and I love Amie but it still has a long way to go. I do pay yearly for the Pro plan but the pro plan needs more to justify for how much it is. I hope they take feedback seriously and move quickly to get more added.
No monthly view on iOS which is so annoying, seem to have no interest to add anytime soon. No weather on mobile version, huge lack of integrations on mobile. Widgets are severely lacking in options and interaction. Lots of wasted space on the smaller widgets. Overlapping events can be hard to see in weekly view on mobile. The todos are very basic, wish there were more options for markdown and longer written todos (having to still use another app). The email client is very basic and not the best UI which makes it hard to use as an email client (I don’t use at all). Lack of multiple notifications for events. No AI smarts in the mobile version, the desktop AI is very lacking and very barebones. Website shows some cool AI smarts for it but it’s no where to be found yet.
This is not the all-in-one app yet that it’s wanting to be, which is a shame. Very excited to see what’s to come and will continue to support because I believe in them. Im hoping they listen and a lot of the above and what other reviewers are saying comes soon. I’ll update the review as it improves.

Response from developer
thank you so much for the feedback, hoping you'll give us another chance then 🤗
Lovely concept, background chaos
I really enjoyed the concept, it’s modern, innovative. However, a thing that annoyed me and made me stop using it is the fact that if I wanna go back to use my google calendar all my events changed colors and have different emojis and looks chaotic. I was about to connect other apps, but seeing that Amie changes settings on the original apps concerns me.

Sign in with Apple
App has no SIWA functionality (but has Google) which is against Apple’s terms of service. If you offer Google as a SSO method, Apple’s SIWA must also be available.
iOS app that only support Google Mail
iOS app that only support Google Mail. Such a useless design choice. As useful as making a PlayStation that only plays Xbox games
Great but lacking key feature
As basic as it sounds but having a monthly view on a calendar app is mandatory I feel.
Google required, but why?
The app does nothing at all without logging into a Google account, but doesn’t explain why.
Does it store everything in Google? Does it only work with Google? Who knows. The app feels you should just sign in to a random app with your (existing?) account and…?

Poor pricing
Echoing what has been said by others. Pricing is not inline with the benefits of the service. It’s marginally unique and a joy to look at but my gosh! $200AUD per year for an “enhanced” calendar app. Seriously? Next stop, apps costing $40, $50, $100 per month? Why not!
Haven’t used for long, but seems pretty good to me
I don’t plan on paying for the subscription but it doesn’t seem like I’m losing out on much. The only issue I’m facing at the moment is that I’m unable to see widgets to put on my Home Screen.
Couldn’t get past the splash screen.
I heard this app mentioned on a Podcast and thought I’d try it out. Alas, upon launching the app I can’t even get past the initial screen. It asks me to connect a Google account, which I don’t have and despite even going back and checking the app and website, I can’t see any reference to a Google account being a requirement for this app.
Am I missing something? If a Google account is the sole requirement then they really need to make this much clearer. Also, why? Why can’t this connect to the local calendar? Or could calendars?
Uninstalled for now, unless the developers want to get back to me and tell me I’m missing something.
In short, don’t waste your time if you don’t have a Google account.

No current contacts integration
If you ever use the core functionality in gcal where you type someone’s name in in your org or contacts and it brings up their calendar so that you can reference it for scheduling, know that that functionality is completely broken in Amie as of the day of this review and has been for a week. That’s right. $15 or so dollars a month to have to just use your gcal anyway. Support is responsive with fixes that never seem to happen. Given this one another 6 months to bake before you try it out. It may as well be in alpha currently.
