Masters of Madness Incremental User Reviews

Fun game. I keep playing, when I’ve dropped other incremental games like this

It’s my personal favorite of what it is, a game you let grow over time… and you have to surrender to time, the big boss, in this game. And in that way, I have felt frustrated when I really wanted a game to remain engaged with. It is true that when this game is at the later parts of its cycle, there can be little to do for a while… I’ve grown to accept it like the seasons, how you play changes depending on where you are… when you restart, when you let time work without you… and I keep playing. I can hit it for a few seconds in the bathroom, can essentially sweep in and make it feel “worth it” to keep playing, even without spending much time on it…
And that makes it fun to return to. Many similar games, if I don’t make time for them one day, or for a few days, you miss out on things… this one, being more chill but consistent, doesn’t make me feel like I blew it when life keeps me from doing my video game daily chores… spend a while with it and grind harder or hit and and let it work while you live your life.
I’ve been playing for a while now.
In the end, I love it. It’s gratifying.

Great game

It is a very good game over all, the only thing I would critique is the blood, I think some things should be cheaper, and also there should maybe be a way to earn blood through like quests or some way.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you're enjoying Masters of Madness. Your suggestion about blood pricing and earning it through quests is valuable, and we’ll take it into account for future updates. Thanks for helping us improve the game!

Fun

It’s a good time passer

Thank you for your 4-star review! We're glad you're enjoying the idle clicker madness of Masters of Madness. If you have any suggestions or feedback to make your Cthulhu-filled journey even better, feel free to share! 🌌

Fun game

Fun game, the recent update added a new end point to the game which seems to be a mixed blessing. I had reached the end of the available upgrade tree before this update, so it had been “pointless” in a sense but I enjoyed that there was stuff to do because resetting was within reach. Now that the world goes further, I remember how it was when there were upgrades ahead of me in this game… It’s a Loooooooooong way to the end of the world. I wish there were things to do when you’re on the frontier. Maybe I play wrong. I like the lower levels where I get to “play” the game. It’s fun though. I’m not trying to insult the experience, it just takes more words to explain the part that I wish were better. “It’s a fun game” doesn’t take much space to explain. Hehe

Should’ve read the reviews.

The game is snail paced. Like very. Unless you buy inapp. Read the reviews and it all clicks now, dev slows down game to “rebalance” instead of adding new content.

Wow please ignore any response from dev trying to wave off the criticisms everywhere. New update today, bonuses lowered even more lol.

Do NOT get this game unless you plan of spending at least $50. Period. No exceptions. The game was designed to be ok, and then they added more and more barriers to make it “slower”, so you’re essentially playing a nerfed game unless you pay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Masters Of Madness. We understand your perspective regarding the pace of the game and its monetization aspects. Masters Of Madness is intentionally designed to offer a slower-paced experience compared to some other games in the genre. Our aim has never been to create a game that can be completed in a matter of days. Instead, we strive to provide a gameplay experience that offers longevity and depth, with new content to discover even for experienced players over time. Regarding the in-app purchases, we believe that all content can be reasonably obtained through gameplay, as evidenced by many players who have unlocked all artifacts solely through playing, without spending money. We offer various opportunities for players to earn Elder Blood through achievements and daily rewards, allowing progression without the need for purchases. We also take pride in our approach to advertising within the game, which we believe is minimally intrusive, primarily in the form of Rewarded Video Ads. Players who prefer not to engage with ads can choose not to. As for your remark about reading reviews, while it's a valid point to consider, we also have received positive feedback regarding the game's balance and mechanics. Giving us a one-star rating solely based on your personal expectations seems unfair when other aspects of the game are disregarded. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll consider giving Masters Of Madness another chance. If you have any further concerns or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.

Good game, bad pricing

Love the game but the price of elder blood is way too high and earning decent amounts of it is way too slow. I'd gladly spend money if the prices were like 10-20% of what they are now.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the game and appreciate your thoughts on the Elder Blood pricing. We'll definitely take your suggestion into consideration as we work to ensure the game remains balanced and fun for everyone. Thanks again for your support! :)

Games good

If you’re looking for a super simple, slow starting incremental game this may be good for you. I personally enjoy incremental games of all types and this one seems to scratch the itch I have for these types of games. The progression may seem slow at first but it’s not meant to be to where you can prestige 5 times or more in one day, if you’re looking for that go play a game on roblox, this game doesn’t have much visuals besides the weather, the torches, and the crows if you so choose to purchase them with the offers you get from playing the game, although lacking in a bunch of visuals it makes up for it with its art style as it’s kind of got this 8-bit retro style mixed with updated graphics. I’m personally a free to play player and haven’t seen to have needed to bought any boosts from the shop, the progression feels rewarding, especially when you gain multiple levels in your ascending. it starts to speed up over time but don’t expect you to play for a week and be level 10 plus ascension unless you wanna spend money, it’s a slow progressing game and I believe it’s meant to be that way, you’re not forced to pay for in game purchases as free to play allows you to progress, just slightly slower. Out of all things in this game, the only gripe I have is the type of upgrades available at the beginning ascension levels, other than that 5/5.

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear the game scratches that incremental itch for you. We appreciate your feedback on progression and visuals, and it’s great to know the balance feels rewarding, especially as a free-to-play player. We’ll keep your suggestions in mind. Yes

Fun game. Very good

Elder blood is just very expensive

Elder gods and sacrifices

What’s not to like? Sending the souls of the damned to ancient gods to grant yourself more power, check. Optional ads if I want a boost but not forced every time I click a screen, check. Pixel based art, check.
When I’m frustrated at work I just send a few souls to their doom. Solid.

Takes too long

It takes an absurd amount of time to get functional in this game and there’s days to weeks of dead time before you even begin unlocking other features, with nothing to do in the interim except check on the game occasionally. The gaps in this game are just too big to ignore and I don’t recommend it for anyone looking for an idle game until they release faster progress updates for early game.
