Mostly fake profiles and the purported matching algorithm is complete hogwash.

I think out of 20 matches over a week or so one of them was a real person. The rest I think were generated with chatGPT. And the conversations with the fake profiles were also likely either offshore workers or ChatGPT as well. People, claiming to be from England and Australia that can barely speak English.

Additionally, the descriptions about the matching and about my personality were inconsistent and completely inaccurate. If it’s unable to come even remotely close to assessing me, then, surely it’s not assessing anybody else properly and if the matching is based on that it is a utter waste of time.

It looks like this just may be an experiment to see how stupid people are.

Uberfake

Mostly fake accounts with people simply wanting to steal your identity and sell you cyber decentralized wallets through fake interest. Most of the images of the people with faint interest in you are actually created by AI technology. The images are not real. You don’t need to come here for illusions. This is a scam. Back up get out and run away. The technology is unproven and a joke. Don’t waste your time.

Expensive

I was offered a one time offer for $7 a week. That’s expensive when hardly anyone is on it. Is the AI truly interpreting your photos or is it kicking out random things to people? I’m not sure. No way to verify it’s real

Revolutionizing Romance

Thrilled with this dating app's innovative use of AI facial recognition compatibility! The accuracy in matching profiles based on facial features is impressive. It takes the guesswork out of finding compatible matches, leading to more meaningful connections. The user interface is sleek, and the ease of navigating through potential matches makes the whole experience enjoyable. Kudos to the developers for bringing technology and romance together seamlessly!

Does not work on MacBook Pro

As the other review says - after signing up, adding your pics, and granting the app permissions, you get half of a window that can't be interacted with or closed. I saw some words the first time I tried, but now it just shows part of a picture.

macOS: Ventura 13.5.2
chip: Apple M1 Max

SCAM APP

Nearly all fake accounts and total scam data collecting app. Lawsuits need to stop dating apps already!

NOT compatible with Macbook

I have M1 and M2, it wastes your time signing up, taking a photo, then has a window that tries to upsell you to $7.99/week.

You can't skip this, you can only see half the window.

What a joke.

This app is buggy and won’t allow me to delete my account

The app tried to describe my personality based on my photo, but it was way, way off. I hit the “not accurate” button and it still proceeded to try to match me based on what it thought was my personality.

I didn’t find anyone who had a bio or any information other than a head shot, which is not enough to determine what someone looks like. And of course the matches were useless because they were based on personality traits I don’t have. But you can’t remove anyone from your list of matches so you have to keep looking at the same people you’re not interested in.

So I go to delete my account and every single time it give me an error message and tells me to log out and back in, which didn’t help. Then a link pops up to send me an email, but this results in another error message because I’m already logged in. I’m confounded by the positive reviews because the app is garbage from a technical standpoint and doesn’t even work as intended.

Response from developer

Hi Agabar,  I'm genuinely sorry to hear about your experience with our app. Our goal with the algorithm has always been to provide accurate personality descriptions, and while the majority of our users resonate with their descriptions, we acknowledge that it's not perfect and mistakes can happen. Additionally, self-reflection and perceptions vary greatly among individuals. Even if you felt the personality assessment wasn't accurate for you, the app still offers conventional dating features. Like many dating apps, we match based on likes and preferences. We offer unlimited unlikes and seeing who likes you feature for free. You can engage in speed dating games, and even have a chance to find someone resembling your favorite celebrity. Regarding the issues you faced with account deletion, I apologize for the inconvenience. To ensure security, we do require a login for account authentication before deletion. If you're still facing difficulties, please reach out to us directly at info@scimatch.com - we're here to assist you. I sincerely hope you consider giving us another chance as we continuously strive to improve. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're committed to enhancing both our technical functionality and user experience.
