Fun, occasionally frustrating, love it
Great 10-30 minute time sink. Dictionary is limited and so sometimes you won’t know until you’re committed to a 9 letter word whether you can clear it. Doesn’t stop me playing every day though.
Gubbins- the mystery
I have been enjoying playing Gubbins, despite bot really understanding how it works. It has great graphics. It gets buggy sometimes - which can be annoying.
For example, some Gubbins don’t work properly or it has intermittent problems with word clearing. Also, don’t get attached to words that are real but don’t work and nonsense words that are usable. Just laugh and go with it!
Unfortunately it stopped working recently and it won’t open. I am guessing it has to do with iOs updates but— it’s disappointing to pay for something and it’s unusable.

Completely broken
I’m on an ancient iPhone and I paid the $20 and the app is completely stuffed.
I’ve killed it twice and restarted the phone, there are no general iPhone updates available, but the ‘select gubbin’ button doesn’t do anything so that means I can’t get to the actual game, I’m stuck on the selection screen, and also every time I finish a game I have to kill the app to get to the next screen.
This app is popular and very expensive for a phone game. It should work on any device. Please please make it so that it does.

i love this little game so much! it has weaseled its way into my daily routine and my friends and i love sharing our works of art. i love that even if you get a bad score, you can still make a funny little collage to make up for your failure :’)
the sfx and music are perfection - i refuse to play with the sound off so will hide in the bathroom at work with the volume on low instead of playing silently at my desk hehe. i love fricken gubbins!

Amazing
I loooooooove this game. Except when I get a microphone or a guitar or a tornado… drives me mad but I love it. So much fun!
Needs a dictionary upgrade.
Fun with great potential, but so many legitimate words are not accepted which is irritating. The basic word list stops this from being a great game. Sometimes won’t even accept plurals. Please upgrade your dictionary.
It is addictive though (which is a good thing!). Could I suggest you get a bonus for using all the letters? I can’t get past about 12,800 and would love for it to be a longer game.

Finding the perfect dictionary has been surprisingly challenging, but we're constantly refinding and about to push a build with hundreds of player suggested words. Please feel free send yours in and we'll add them too :)

I’d really love it if displaying (or even keeping track of) the current streak was configurable. I understand that’s a big deal for a lot of people, but it makes playing a game feel less joyful and more like a job for me. I’d like to be able to opt out. Please keep up the good work; I love what you’re doing and it’s a joy to play. Don’t forget to be awesome.
a bug: if i open the app and select the daily puzzle, its often labeled correctly as todays puzzle but actually reloads yesterday’s. there’s no way to abandon the solve, so i redo the puzzle (sometimes just throwing stuff down to get to the FIN tile). afterwards, the current days puzzle is marked completed in the main screen even though i haven’t seen it. i can go to the archive screen and select it from there, and play it that way, though. this doesn’t always happen and i haven’t noticed a pattern yet.

Love this cozy word game!
I adore this game! It’s challenging and requires strategy - but it also has amazing graphics and music. I bought the upgrade so I can play as much as I want, and I play it multiple times a day. Highly recommend!
