Description of Auth app for Tesla

Need to generate modern secure Tesla API authentication tokens? Look no further! Based on the proven implementation of Watch app for Tesla, now you can continue to keep all your custom shortcuts alive, by swapping out your previous token mechanism for the Shortcut actions donated through this app. Also provides convenient clipboard access to tokens once logged in, for logging into other third party services. Application source code is completely open source and accessible at https://github.com/TeslaBuds/AuthAppForTesla At no point in time is any information shared with the developer - your username and password is sent directly to Tesla through the in-app browser - and your generated tokens are stored securely encrypted in the iOS Keyvault. Reviews of Auth app for Tesla

  • Lifetime Access to your Tesla Account

Sure the app works, but there’s no way to deauth your Tesla account without resetting your token on the Tesla side, which I have no idea how to do. I should be able to sign out and delete my data if I don’t want to use this anymore, not have a security hole and risk open to some app developer.
  • Works great, supports MFA (Aug 2023)

This works great, got the token I needed via auth with Tesla with MFA
  • work just fine

I used the generated refresh token in another app i needed and worked the way i expected. My packet filter didn't see any requests going to places other than tesla auth servers - unlike other apps i've tried where i saw dubious requests that i couldn't be bother to research.
