This app helped me meet my boyfriend! If you’re sick of the current status quo with dating apps you should download Amori for these 3 reasons: 1) The people on the app have self selected to be looking for something more substantial than hookups or friends with benefits. 2) With this app, you know you like the pictures of a person before you start talking so it is refreshing and fun to get to know someone in a setting where the focus is on personality and interests rather than what you look like. 3) You can join chat rooms to talk in real time with people who you might connect with and match that way!

I Now Have a Girlfriend!
I’ve used dating apps in the past, but I wouldn’t say I have a ton of experience with them, nor have I had any real success. I saw a random TikTok video dropping dating app statistics that made a lot of sense. It mentioned Amori as having a different angle to the dating app experience, so I gave it a shot. There are two sides to this app where there are chat rooms for groups of people to mingle via voice chat. You can send likes from there if you feel like you’re interested in someone. On the other side, you get a handful of Top Picks where you see a few photos of people and nothing else. You can like who you’re attracted to and if they happen to like you, it goes into the void. As far as I know, there are no “instant” matches. Enough time passes that you don’t remember which pictures you’ve liked, so when you get “matched,” all you can see is a name, initially. So anyways, I get matched with a girl seeing only her name. The app prompts me to send a message or a prewritten prompt to initiate the conversation. The conversation was much more thoughtful and meaningful than I was used to on other dating apps. After a few messages, the app prompts us to talk to each other via voice chat since we were “hitting it off.” This was a nice ice breaker for me, since I’m never really sure the proper progression of meeting someone on a dating app. I’m never quite certain on when to voice chat or ask someone to meet in person. Did I ask too soon? Did I wait too long? Amori is like a dating app for dummies (this is a compliment). It’s nice to just match with someone and not have to learn to be proficient in dating app lingo. We schedule a voice chat for the next night. She said she only had 30 minutes to talk due to her schedule. We ended up talking for 3 hours (still unaware of each other’s physical appearance). After the voice chat concluded, we had the option to “reveal” each other’s profile, so we did. She was beautiful. We voice chatted two more times before exchanging numbers. We’ve talked every day since. I’ve driven down to see her (2 hrs apart) and she’s driven up to see me. I even had her meet my parents this week. We have many differences (politically, religiously, etc…) that, if seen on paper or the profile of another dating app, we would have never swiped right for each other, most likely. The chemistry we felt was so strong, we really didn’t want our differences to separate us so soon. We gave it a chance and I’m so glad we did. Working out our differences has only made our relationship stronger. It gets better by the day and I am hopeful to what the future brings. So, thank you, Amori.Show lessjuggjydvj

Of all the apps I’ve tried, this is the most welcoming and good spirited.
Anytime I enter the bars, there’s a lively chat happening. I feel super welcome to join the conversation, but not at all pressured. The hosts do a good job of regulating the topics and keeping the spirits up. And after getting to know a bunch of them, it really feels like I’ve made a great new friend group 💕
I’ve even met some people in person! I’ve gone in two dates, and am planning to meet a few more. It’s been so fun getting to know people through their voice. It’s personal, but also a lot more comfortable than video dating. Can’t wait until even more people join.

Didn’t like, the time you can go to chat it was open at night when I was sleeping, and I did not have any match. Also, I tried to deleted myself and you have to contact with them via email (and I hate when I can not delete myself easily from somewhere)Fkskdkfjfnnrnsjjdndbjdjd

Hi there! We now allow everyone to delete themselves directly on the app. Also, our rooms open at 8pm Eastern Time, since most of our users are in the US. This does make it challenging for users in Europe to enjoy the app, but there are still ways to enjoy it. Once we grow more in Europe, we will create a European server as well.Didn’t get any matches :(
Love the idea of this app and was really excited to download it. The waitlist is a little annoying but I got off of it fast enough. Once I did, unfortunately, I didn’t get any matches. Zero. Let me preface this by saying I am a relatively attractive woman who gets 30+ matches a day on Bumble. I checked the app every day for two-ish, liking people and hoping someone would pop up…and nothing. I think the user base is still super small, but once more people sign up I think there’s potential!Show lessTheCatsMeow29
