Top reviews

It’s fantastic at the start I’m looking forward to hopefully more things been added.

These memory techniques are not just a joke and this is a great way of getting an intro to the whole concept in a more intuitive way than books in general one of the problems with these gurus and people who teach these methods is that they end up looking like Conman or gurus and I’m not sure if that’s them trying to just market things but I think they need to lean into Looking less like that that being said this app is good. It needs a couple more features and Debbie is Rich experience for an expert and a beginner. This app has changed my life not joking. I just wanted to continue to have value.

Another app that wants you to answer 25 insulting questions before you can use it

Maybe it’s a good app, I’ll never know because it’s another app that insults your intelligence with countless bogus questions as you try to start out. “How satisfied are you with your memory?” “Why do you want to improve your memory?” And as with most such horribly designed apps, it doesn’t tell you how many of these ridiculous questions you’re going to have to suffer through. But it does give a feedback bar that makes it clear it’s a lot of them.

Most of this type of design is bogus psychological marketing techniques, the app developers think if they can get you to answer 25 questions, you’ll have invested time in it and feel more will by to pay for the inevitable attempt to get you to subscribe once you finish.

Hi there, we're sorry you felt this way by the initial questions and appreciate you sharing your feedback. Those questions are intended to personalize your memory-training journey, not to push you into a purchase. Our team monitors the anonymous responses and takes them into account when building the app; it helps us learn more about memoryOS users. Kindly note that we also provide a robust freemium version, which helps give the app a much better try. The freemium version provides access to many lessons, videos, fun one-tap tasks, Virtual Mind Palaces, and more. Also, if you visit the 🛒 'Shop' section of the app, you'll find several great Premium Plan options. Each plan comes with a 7-day free trial if you haven't had one before and starts as low as $3.49 per month/when billed yearly (plus 10-20% applicable local taxes). Once again, we ask a few questions during your onboarding experience to keep building a better memory tool for all users and value your input greatly. If an offer does appear, you can always close it by tapping on the 'X' at the top of the page. Please reach out to us by emailing us at support@memoryos.com if you have extra questions. It would make our day if you could change your review to reflect the actual value provided by this app. Also, it helps with the app's discoverability. Have a great New Year ahead, and thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us, as we always aim to be ever-improving.

LOVE! WOW!

They say in life that there is no silver bullet but this is definitely as close as you get. I downloaded this app unsure what it to expect and I was blown away. I’m only a few days in but I have already seen a vast improvement in my memory using these techniques. So hooked on the progress and can’t wait to learn more. Thank you for creating this amazing app!

I wish that I could spread the word

I have been enjoying this app, and have been applying the methods in real life. I am even amused by the quirky cues given by the founder in the videos. However, what has curtailed my usage is trying to navigate the memory palaces with the little navigation tool. I am a 56- year old person whose video game heyday was play packman or asteroids with a joystick. I struggle with maneuvering through the rooms of your digital dojo with the navigation tool that you’ve created.

In addition, I have paid for access to all levels, but am barred from moving past the initial challenges. Every time that I try, I’m asked to upgrade. I have contacted customer service with no reply. This has been most disappointing and frustrating. I really have been enjoying this app, but these issues have prevented me from spreading the word to my friends and family who I know would find value using the app.

Deceptive Pricing, Exploitive Practices, and Zero Care for Humanity

After investing significant time carefully answering the ad/setup’s every single questions so that you have now more reasons to buy it (super annoying modern marketting tactics)—ensuring the experience would also hopefully be tailored to your needs—you’re suddenly hit with the absurd reality of this app’s pricing: a *ludicrous* $150 yearly plan. This outrageous cost is somehow pitched as a “great deal,” even though most comparable apps charge around $50 annually. And before you can even learn about this scammy price tag, the app demands your email address. My advice? Use a fake one. No one should give away their personal data to such a money-hungry operation without serious caution.

Memory is, without question, one of the most precious things we have. For anyone who has witnessed the devastating impact of dementia or Alzheimer’s on loved ones, this truth is deeply personal. An app claiming to support memory improvement should prioritize accessibility and affordability to make a real difference in people’s lives. Instead, the creators of MemoryOS chose the path of greed. They could have easily followed in the footsteps of competitors like Impulse, which offers a highly affordable $70 lifetime membership plan (a mere $15 difference from MemoryOS’s *yearly* plan). But no—helping humanity clearly takes a backseat to maximizing profits.

And it gets worse. They didn’t stop at exorbitant pricing—they doubled down on deception. For *years,* while homelessness and poverty rise, this app has proudly slapped a fake “50% off” sale on its already bloated price to trick more people into thinking $150 is a bargain. It’s an insult to users and a shameless display of modern marketing manipulation. All the while, comparable apps—often just as good or better—remain far more reasonably priced. For instance, Peak, another memory-training app, offers a *genuine* yearly plan at $34.99, a fraction of MemoryOS’s cost.

This app is not just expensive—it’s a blatant cash grab disguised as a “tool for self-improvement.” I wouldn’t doubt they got a good program as I couldn’t test it but the fact that instead of making a meaningful impact, they pour their resources into deceptive advertising campaigns, hooking unsuspecting users into subscription plans designed to drain their wallets month after month or year after year. If they truly cared about humanity, they’d prioritize affordability and transparency, but clearly, profit margins seems to be the only priority here so I’d love to hear their explanation to the super high price tag in these quite rough times.

Until something changes drastically, I will boycott this app without hesitation. Better options exist—more affordable, ethical alternatives that don’t exploit their users. With advancements in AI and the growing availability of tools for self-improvement, I’m optimistic that other developers will step up and deliver superior solutions that don’t come with the same level of corporate greed. I’d much rather support those efforts than line the pockets of a company that sees people’s memory struggles as nothing more than an opportunity for profit.

A great start

Genuinely a really good start to using this app, really informative and actually scary how well the memory techniques work.

I need to learn how to use the palace and transfer feature a bit more as I’ve not delved into those but so far worth every penny.

My only grudge would be the loki coins (in app currency), as I’m paying a subscription but then would be expected to buy more coins if I wanted to expand my mind palaces any further, seems a little unfair. I’m still a little unsure how the loki currency works as I’ve not had to spend any yet but that would be my only sticking point.

Otherwise a great app!
