Awesome app
Response from developer
Hi there, Thank you so much for your feedback and for spreading the word! 📣💌 Cool to hear what you use the app for and what you especially like! This helps us in deciding how to further develop the app 💡🤓 Kind regards, Angela and the Lightray team
Worst app ever
Response from developer
Hi Danny Reviews Apps, Thank you for your feedback. I am not sure, what you mean by "locks you out". Do you mean the pop-up telling you that a diffuser is required? You can’t click it away but as soon as your camera recognizes a diffuser, the pop-up will disappear. We do this on purpose because the diffuser is essential to get accurate measuring results. Otherwise, please reach out to us via support@lightray.io and we’d be happy to help you out 🙂 Kind regards, Angela and the Lightray team

Hi True Plant, Thank you so much for your feedback and the insight into how you use our app!🙏 We have a specific app for plant growers, you might want to check it out too! It’s called Photone 🌱🤓 Happy growing, Angela and the Lightray team
Yeah. A scam.
Response from developer
Hi Teddytoons, Thank you for your feedback. What you’re describing is the regular free trial ending, of which there’s info throughout the app. We have put in a lot of work to develop this app and spent hours and hours refining it in our lab in Switzerland. We believe that our highly trained employees deserve a fair salary and that users like you don’t want to look at annoying ads while using the app. We therefore think that offering a free trial to a paid app is appropriate but of course, you are free to have a different opinion. Kind regards, Angela and the Lightray team
Not a spot meter but works
Response from developer
Hi Vermiculite, Thank you for your feedback. Please beware that our app is not a light meter for photography but rather for general applications requiring accurate illuminance (lux / fc) measurements. Therefore, there are no features for spot metering in the app. Given that it’s used correctly (f.e. first of all using a diffuser), I can promise you highly accurate illuminance measurements in case you’ll ever need that 🤓 Best regards, Angela and the Lightray team
Great customer service!

Hey Light Peter, Thank you so much for this feedback! It's nice to know that our work is appreciated! 🤗🙏 Don't hesitate to contact us again if there's anything we can help you with 😊 All the best, Angela and the Lightray team
Annoying
Response from developer
Dear Rob art critic, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you feel that way. It's the laws of physics that a diffuser is needed to measure light. The pop-up is intended as we don't want people to get false data or spend money before they know how the app works. It's quick and easy though to build a diffuser yourself, all you need is a bit of paper and the instructions in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaNiEF_QEmE Best regards, Angela and the Lightray team
Waste of time . Won’t work without purchasing diffuser
Response from developer
Hi peterdeez, Thank you for your feedback. It‘s not quite true though. You don‘t have to buy a diffuser for the app to work. You can easily build one yourself in under a minute, as described here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07SxrmjSqGc&cc_load_policy=1&v=watch Unfortunately, laws of physics dictate the usage of a diffuser for any method of measuring light. But we feel that with the possibility of the one made out of paper we‘ve found a very easy solution for this issue. Best regards, Angela and the Lightray team
Useful app that seems to be accurate

Definitely getting something right!

Hi spencerrose1, Thank you very much for the 5 stars and telling us a bit about how you're using the app. I'm glad you get such satisfactory measurements. For the best and most stable results I still recommend that you use a diffuser. You can make one in less than a minute or get one of our diffuser accessories. See here for more info: https://growlightmeter.com/guides/diffuser-required/ Kind regards, Angela and the Lightray team
