I have always heard from social media about finance tricks and the importance of investing, but I felt like I never really knew how to do it in the first place. My school never really taught me these skills either. When I saw a video about Alinea on social media and hearing about their backstory, I felt like it was the perfect app to get started on investing. Everyday they post a instagram story styled summary on all the finance related stories that is happening in the world. You can also customize the businesses that you are investing in, by your values such as women owned or climate friendly. They can also auto invest for you. I have a certain amount of money set at the beginning of every month that automatically gets invested and it makes it so easy. While they can auto invest for you, what I love about it is also learning about what my investment does. Overall such an amazing app to learn about investing and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I love that it’s a female-owned investing app that truly makes investing feel accessible and empowering. I have no clue about anything in the finance world. I've had friends that have used other apps and sit there and watch it everyday. I don't have time for that. I started my own small online company at the beginning of this year, and there's no time to pay attention. I'm working on growing my income let alone trying to think about which stocks to buy and sell. I've always wanted to get into investing. I understand how great it is for someone's future. I just never made the jump. I found this app and it made it as easy as setting up another subscription and forgetting about it. I do that often with subscriptions. I remembered one day and checked it on it and it was an amazing sight to see. They do all the hard work for you! This app is perfect, for people who want to invest but don't have the time for it.
As soon as you get into the app they immediately take out $200 from your account before you even agree to do anything or decide to even invest. This happened to me and of course i was in shock of $200 disappearing from my bank account especially because in a slot prepared for it and was only looking to explore the app as i did not have the funds at the time to invest. i asked for a refund in which they gave back but i never used the app after that and thought i deleted my account. To my surprise more than a year later i have been charged $120 out of nowhere when i don’t use the app and don’t even have it downloaded. I though i deleted my account the first time but i must have not. Again, im in shock from the disappearance of money from my bank and it’s at a time where i cannot financially support this. I’ve contacted them on the app and i get a response saying they’ll get back to me on the app or through email. It says that they’re “online”?? but they haven’t responded to me. It’s been 3 days and still nothing. Definitely don’t recommend with the way they just take money from your account without telling you. BIG SCAM!!
Hi, I am a 23 year old girl and I have never been super good with my money. I have always had the problem of getting a pay check and because I have the money at the moment why can’t I spend it? Well I have learned if I ever want to be financially stable I needed to start changing some habits. Originally growing up investing scared me, due to the fact that I did not have any type of education on it. I am still currently learning about investing but this app has helped me understand it more. I have invest some money and it is so fun to see how the market works and how my money can continue to grow! Again I still have to get more knowledge so I can invest right for myself but luckily this app includes a way for experts to invest for you and help you make good choices with your money! I wish I did this sooner!!
Been looking for an app like this for a while, and after seeing it on TikTok, so I decided to download it. The user interface makes it very easy to use and it’s aesthetically pleasing. The issue I have with it is the investors spend more time making ads, then actually being active on other platforms. I attempted to research before actually investing and getting into the app. They have a Discord that they aren’t even active on and the TikTok account that they have for this is mainly just add to not actually how to use the app or tips or anything. It could be a very good app, but I feel like I’ve basically had to go into this blind, because there was no one you can actually ask for about information. They offer a zoom call but it's hard to get in contact with a human being. Even on their website, the most recent article was from forever ago. I’m not quick to judge the app, but I am quick to judge the creators and their lack of presence. i’ve tried to get people to start a conversation in the Discord so that I could have an understanding and so that others can have an understanding, but it seems the creators are just not there nor do they want to check it. I want to learn more, I want to earn more, but how can I know what do to without some guidance?

As it is stated when you sign up there is a yearly $85 fee and i had lacked to have seen that. I reached out asking for a refund because i just didn’t have money like that to spend. They’re customer service was awesome and they helped me get the money back + gave me a free year for the inconvenience. Fast forwarded a few months, i decided to deactivate my account since i hadn’t used it hardly thinking it would also end my subscription. I redownloaded the app and realized i had been charged the same $85 fee because my subscription was not cancelled. I contacted customer service and they helped me yet again to get a refund and to permanently end my subscription so it wouldn’t happen again. Definitely user error on my end, but they were really great for helping get my money back!! I will definitely come back in the future and use this app!!
This app is great for first-time female investors, like myself. The chat feature is great when you need a little extra help or information, and they do get back to you in a reasonable timeframe. It is straightforward and easy to use, and I love the intro quiz so that you can have professionals invest with your risk comfort level in mind.
The only caveat is that the newness of the app means some companies might not be available to invest on the app, especially those outside of the main US stock exchange. However, that is a small inconvenience compared to how amazing and user-friendly Alinea and the staff are.
Overall, I love this app, and I’m already seeing growth after one month! I cannot recommend this enough, and have become excited and invested in my investments!
This is definitely a first step to investment for me I have never invested before but with all the ads I saw and how easy it seemed I joined! I invest a little every month and it’s been awesome to see it grow and change daily. Though it’s scary and daunting I haven’t lost anything yet! And thought my earnings are little it’s more than I would have made if that money stayed inactive in a bank account. That mindset changed it all for me. It’s easy to do, the steps are simple and they even provide you news about the company’s in your portfolio which is super cool. They also give you a quiz at the beginning that helps them better understand you as an investor so you don’t have to be risky if you don’t want to! It also give you options to invest in your interest and women owned companies which is so awesome! This has definitely given me a new and positive perspective on investing that I would never have gotten without the help of this app. It’s not daunting at all and makes me excited for more in the future :)
I originally downloaded this because of TikTok, but now it’s actually making me excited to invest. I’m not sure what they could do to make the app better. The only suggestion I have is that when you click one of the companies that you invest in from the list along with showing you your data with the investment would also show you all the basic info of that company as well instead of having to like search it. I’m not gonna lie I was reading other reviews that said it was a scam cause they couldn’t unlink their account so I got nervous and it’s definitely a process to unlink but I was able to do so. I haven’t been able to withdraw my money just yet cause you have to wait a couple weeks after the investment ends but I’ll update if I’m able to do that later I might have to relink my bank but I’m willing to do that. I also cancelled my membership before it could take effect but I’m still able to see all my info so I’m not sure if this is a scam but at this point I’m gonna go with it’s not a scam and the people who think it is are just impatient.
