Can’t pay via Apple Pay
I usually order via Just Eat but thought I’d try their app because the menu they included with my last order boasts up to 30% off.
The first thing I noticed is that I like the app layout and fonts more than the Just Eat app. Also every item on the menu has a photo, which is really great.
There are some issues though - like using square checkboxes instead of round radio buttons to indicate that I can only choose exactly one item from a list. Also some menu items are missing: when choosing a dip to accompany skinny fries it didn’t have “Basil Pesto” or “Hot Chilli” dips listed.
But perhaps the most surprising and disappointing is lack of integration with Apple iOS features like auto complete of my details from contacts, or being able to pay via Apple Pay which would do my details, delivery address, and payment.
It was very voice to be able to use a map to put a pointer on my house, as delivery folk do have trouble finding the house. House numbering is so illogical in some places.
Overall very solid, but doesn’t offer anything over a normal website. Apple Pay and not having to login/sign up are the app experiences I was looking for.
