Reviews of Clyr Pool

  • Fantastic Product, App, and Service!

The Clyr system is the only consumer ORP sensor on the market now that PHin is out of business due to their unsustainable chemical subscription business model. An ORP sensor means you keep your pool balanced through an elegant, easy-to-use app and only need to occasionally calibrate the sensor. The alternative is frequently swapping out expensive cartridges that are often unreliable which is how every other pool monitor on the market exists. The Clyr sensor introduces several innovations over the PHin including installing it in your skimmer. That installation approach as opposed to floating around the pool avoids the common problem of a monitor getting sucked into the skimmer to lose connectivity or for kids to throw it around the pool with the rest of the pool toys to break it. The Clyr sensor has a solar panel so you almost never have to charge it. It also has a water level sensor which isn’t essential to water quality but gives you piece of mind when you’re on vacation so you know your pump isn’t starved. It’s also useful to know how much freshwater was introduced after a summer rainstorm in case you might need to add shock. The app and the QuickStart guide made setup of the system fast and easy. I had readings from my pool within 10 minutes of opening the box. And when you add chemicals, you see results in the app within a couple of minutes. Before I bought it, I had a ton of questions and the Clyr team answered all of them. I had a year of having no smart pool monitor when PHin went out of business and it’s such a relief to not have to guess or run samples to a store.
