Less than you think
Think twice before downloading Longfellow’s translation from 1867. There are several contemporary translations in print in the English languages that are preferable. The ad for the app suggests dual languages: English and Italian. There is no Italian version. Unless you are desperate, look for translations in print by Pinsky, Hollander, or Merwin.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi, the Italian version is available, you need to have a secondary language set in your device’s settings, as explained in the dedicated section. About the English version, surely contemporary translations are easier to read, but Longfellow’s version is universally accepted as the closest to the original style; it was chosen for this reason.
