Bug

L’application bug beaucoup. Un gros décalage aussi. Des fois ça prends 1-2 minutes avant d’avoir accès à la caméra (ce qui est très long quand tu veux vérifier la sécurité de bébé). Le son en background arrête seul parfois. La température est inexacte de 6 degrés.

Camera Alerted me!

I got a notification for movement while I was doing homework in the living room ñ. When I looked at the camera the blanket was covering my baby’s face and immediately I got up to adjust her blankets away from her face. I’m very grateful for this feature to notify any little movement. Thank you it’s worth it 100%.

Awful product is Dangerous!!!

We bought the giraffe cam without the stand-alone monitor and use our iPhones with the background monitor feature. It is awful, we constantly wake up to it having crashed and no noise coming from our phones and restarting it all the time. It also cuts in and out a lot, not dependable. We had issues in our small condo, now we have issues in our new home with fiber internet and great coverage. Signal strength is almost 5 bars. We both have to use our phones at night in case the other phone app crashes. The other night I woke up to our son’s feint crying because BOTH our apps had failed, my wife didn’t wake up and thankfully I did. Who knows how long he was crying until I heard him, he was extremely upset. We can’t trust this product anymore and will trash it. Parenting is too hard and stressful as is for us to have to deal with garbage products like this

Privacy policy issues

This company privacy policy states they collect your information, and use it for whatever reason they want. They also state that this information can be stored outside of the USA, and might not be protected, and that accidents can happen. Horrible, I shouldn’t have to worry about who’s able to see my baby’s camera and worry about the information they have on us. Absolutely ridiculous, this product is going back to the store. These companies and their privacy policies are beyond sickening, and they act as if we, the he consumers, don’t have a choice. Sorry but I do, and you won’t get a dime of my money, or my information!

Horrible App Experience

This app is awful. Caring for our twins is hard enough, and this app is too much of a daily frustration for us to continue using. It is so annoying to use every single time. Which is such a bummer if you’re looking for a monitor that allows for viewing from your phone. I prefer checking through my phone at night because the brightness is much lower. The lowest setting brightness on the parent unit is still too much for my eyes at night.

The app constantly freezes, and takes what feels like 10 years to refresh and start the video stream. I’m CONSTANTLY closing it out and reopening in hopes that it will help, but it hardly ever does. It’s an overall really frustrating user experience. As a user experience designer, I give this app a 2/10. I also hate that when I’m waiting for the video to start up I have to see these random facts across the screen. They don’t do anything helpful for me as a user. Maybe I wouldn’t mind them if I only saw them for like 2 sec but since the app literally takes minutes to load video, it just is annoying to look at the useless fact slapped across what should be my baby’s face.

I’m thankful we were gifted these monitors but I would be so mad if we spent our own money on these. We will be getting a new system all together and simply setting this aside for traveling use.

Good camera, unreliable app

It’s great as far as the bendy neck and it shows me the baby as expected. The app craps out on me a lot, for example the music button only SOMETIMES shows up, and often times when I’m away from home I can’t connect to it even though it sometimes does let me do that? Super frustrating at 9 o clock at night and I’m out of arms and batteries and can only half rely on the phone app to have music/white noise for sleep

Phone App Doesn’t always connect or slow to connect

I like the app and how it gives a better view of of the camera than the monitor. But the app is slow to connect to the camera and seems to lag lately. Hopefully this is temporary issue!

Good App except for overlaid text on video

I would rate the app with another 1-2 stars if it had a feature to remove the text that is overlaid on top of the video feed as an option for users like me who do not find it helpful.

The physical monitor does not display this text with trivia about babies so it seems very strange that the app includes this information by default.

I find this text to be very distracting and adds unnecessary friction when trying to view the video feed.

Loved at first

This app and system worked great for a few months. I’m not sure if it was an update, but now the audio cuts out ALL the time and I’m met with baby facts and have to restart the app several times for it to MAYBE work. Debating on buying another camera to get the monitor or trashing and buying a new setup. Super disappointing.
