Love this game!
I never wrote a review before but when I saw them advertising on Twitter that is was a language learning based game. I was honestly excited! I had gone through multiple language learning apps like Duolingo and many others and I was honestly starting to lose some hope. I have ADHD, so sometimes it’s hard for me to stay focused. This game however is honestly amazing and I have such high hopes for it.

An Engaging & Interactive Way to Learning
UPDATE: I wasn’t sure how to revise my previous review, so I’ll leave another review. At first my experience was a little rough during release day as I wanted to tie one of my separate emails to the game and not my Apple ID. I was unfortunately greeted with a bug where the attempt to create an account with my email left me on a frozen screen. So I exited the game and killed the app and was greeted with a black screen anytime I tried to open the application and it assumed I was already logged in. I contacted support and minutes later they worked with me to resolve my issue with my account. After I finally gained access to the game, I played my way to about a Bronze III rank and found myself addicted to both wanting to relearn and the French language and battle monster strategically since I love RPGs. This game is quite fun and it helps me retain information a bit better than I did in school. Really enjoying this so far and looking forward to the more advanced levels later.

My favourite language learning app!
I’ve tried a couple of different language learning apps and this is my favourite so far! It doesn’t penalise you too much for getting an answer wrong and instead lets you try again on your next turn. It’ll ask you the same or similar questions more than once to help you learn vocabulary through repetition. It has voiceover to help you learn pronunciation as well!
My only criticism: there’s a fair amount of limitation for how much you can play everyday as a free player.

Great fun
It’s a great app that helps you learn languages, and manages to keep you entertained where many other language apps fall short. It’s easy to get the hang of and really helps you ingrain important phrases. Admittedly, i’ve only tried the Spanish, but i’m loving it so far. I’m sure the others languages are just as fun and i will go on to try them in the future. Overall it’s a great app, would definitely recommend to those interested in learning a language but find themselves un-satisfied with the more formal layout of many other options. 10/10

It does it’s job
It does teach you the language you want to learn at the cost of having an energy based system. I understand it’s a free to play game so it has to make money somehow but give us more energy, only giving us 15 energy a day then making us watch an ad for every time you want to battle is pretty annoying.

Full disclosure, I was involved in beta testing this game.
Having said that, this app is so much fun to get started on a new language. The characters are cutesy, the storyline’s a little whacky and the combat is relatively easy to understand (you pick a card and answer the question).
The combos that different cards provide are super fun to play around with.
The language learning itself is done at a relatively good pace, mostly depending on the learner’s own study skill/time etc but the dev has been really helpful on the discord of any questions come up. They’re also happy to take on board suggestions from players.
I’d definitely recommend this as an app of choice for learning a language and I can’t wait to see where LL goes from here.
