Not worth it

The app would have show off the road and then the narration would stop even though we were still driving on the road. We missed almost half of the narration due to this. And then when it did play it would often be delayed and we would miss the turn offs mentioned.

Unstable

Downloaded the Road to Hana and this App gave me nothing but problems. Would freeze and often crash. When restarting it tries to connect to the internet (even though the audio tour was already downloaded) and hangs because places like Hana don’t have cell service.

The commentary was good when it was working but this app is a headache. Wish I could get my $$ back.

Worked well

We enjoyed learning about the island during our drive and it is helpful to know where you’re going when cell service is out, because the app still works.

This self-guided tour helped us have an awesome day on the road to Hana. It told us exactly where to stop and gave lots of interesting stories about the area and it’s history. We would definitely recommend it.

Road to Hana App

It was great! We didn’t have to worry about missing something because the app would tell us what was coming up and also the history and info about the spots and Hawaiian culture. It was great! It worked really well and recommend it to any traveller!

Very poor service

The tour kept starting and stopping mid way through the descriptions. It was also replaying certain sections over and over. It also missed and didn’t give us enough time to see certain attractions until we were past them.

Good content but buggy: freezes, stutters, crashes

Good content, good interface, but app was super frustrating because it kept freezing, then audio would jump ahead 20 seconds. Or it would freeze entirely. Or I would have to force quit the app, then reboot phone. Arg

Can you explain the jumping audio issue since we have never had any user complaining about audio jumping or app freezing over a while. Can you also let us know your model number and iOS version to support@actiontourguide.com so we can try to reproduce the issue? Also we recently updated our app with new features and bug fixes.
