Amazing App
Great app!
Great idea
Is this app even legal?
Happy to check with the City of New York to see what they think of your business model.
I found this on the city’s website:
Unofficial reserving of parking space. It shall be unlawful for any person to reserve or attempt to reserve a parking space, or prevent any vehicle from parking on a public street
through his/her presence in the roadway, the use of hand-signals, or by placing any box, can, crate, handcart, dolly or any other device, including unauthorized pavement, curb or street markings or signs in the roadway

Thanks for your question! Parkaroo is legal. We don’t sell parking spots. Parkaroo increases the odds of you finding parking. We trade location and departure information, we don’t trade or sell physical parking spots. The app is free to download and free to use. We have gotten some great support and people enjoy helping out a neighbor. Thanks for the insightful question and if you have any more email me at max@parkaroo.org.
Unequivocally the greatest invention to happen in NYC
Terrible idea

Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify we don’t sell parking spots. The app is free to download and free to use. All that we ask is that you leave your spot available once in a while. If you don’t want to give up your spot and help a neighbor there is an option to purchase a credit which the proceeds go to New York Cares and our marketing to make sure we can get more users so the experience is better for everyone. You do not need to pay for parking on Parkaroo in fact we don’t even encourage it we want people to give up there spots. I just created this app so my family didn’t need to spend 45 minutes looking for parking everyday. Thanks for the feedback and if have any more comments email me at max@parkaroo.
Doesn’t work - no spots
Response from developer
Thanks for taking the time to watch our CBS interview and giving us feedback. If you want to find out when new spots are made available make sure notifications are enabled. We had over 40 spots available yesterday and that figure grows everyday. I hope this helps and if you have anymore feedback send me an email at max@parkaroo.org. Thanks.
Needs to show automatic parked car Data from Apple Maps or have a current location button.
Map is clunky
Have to navigate manually to your parking spot location.

Thanks for your great feedback! I take these suggestions seriously. Currently I am working on starting the user at their current location instead of in Manhattan. That feature will be implemented in the very near future. Thanks again and if you have any more suggestions email me at max@parkaroo.org.
