Not accurate unfortunately
I don’t often write app reviews but I felt compelled to do so for this app as its intent is to alert you of speed cameras and red light cameras and it just is not accurate. There are several speed cameras known to me along the same route I have been taking to work over the last several years and the app doesn’t show the cameras and if I were not aware of their presence, I’d have a $50 fine coming in the mail. That is counter productive for an app that should have speed camera locations especially for speed cameras that have been in place for over 1 year, I can understand if it were a newly installed camera but that wasn’t the case for the few cameras I mentioned that are along my route to work. I was really hopeful that the accuracy of the app would’ve been better. The functionality lacks a little as well, maybe that’s because I only had the free version, I’m not sure. Google maps and Waze has a much more accurate database of speed and red light cameras so I will go back to those apps. I wish the developers of this app much luck and success in making this app better. For now, I’ll delete it and use Waze or Google Maps.Helppppp neeededddd

The camera locations that are already reported in the app we assure you are extremely accurate. Unlike Waze or Google Maps, we allow our users to report new speed cameras and red light cameras to our database when using our Premium Version. We then internally make sure those reported camera locations are accurate. We then ask our users to contribute to the verification process by verifying the accuracy of the reported camera location with a simple click as they pass a camera. If for any reason any of our Premium users receive a speed camera violation while using the app, we are the ONLY app that will help them Dispute a Speed Camera Violation directly with the NYC Pay or Dispute App with our exclusive “Speed Cloud History” and “Defense Doc” features. In terms of functionality, we try to keep NYC SpeedCamBuster’s interface extremely simple and No frills, while trying to focus on the main reason for the app, which is to remind our users to slow down while driving in New York City, making our streets safer while helping our users avoid having to pay a $50 speed camera violation.
