Not worth it

Not worth the 4.99 to hear the cries. Not much else to do in the app.

Helpful But Overpriced

The app is simple to use. I don’t think it’s worth $4.99, however. It’s definitely overpriced for what it is. I don’t really use the journal feature and after hearing the baby cries and taking the quiz a couple times, I won’t use the app itself again. The videos can also be found online so I could have gone without the app if I knew. Happy that I learned the cries and their meanings - disappointed about the price. (It is a bargain compared to the classes offered on the website though. Still, I think it should be at most a $1.99 app because of how much it will be used and it’s content.)

It’s ok

The app gives you good practice for recognising different voices but it doesn’t analyse the recordings.

Too expensive for what it is.

Bought it out of curiosity having heard from a friend that the Dubstan method was worth exploring. Unfortunately it didn’t come close to meeting my expectations. I thought the app was poorly designed and while it encouraged me to pay special attention to my newborn’s sounds there is no reason why it should cost so much for what it is.

Response from developer

Dear ArmenK, the app copy clearly states that it teaches you to understand your baby's 5 cries, to prevent inconsolable crying. It also enables you to test your comprehension until you become proficient and confident . Not sure what you expect to pay for calming a crying baby at 2am, for some people this ability is priceless. We are happy to refund you your 5 pounds. Please send me your email to hello @ dunstanbaby .com
