Finally a real pinochle game for every real player

I find this game almost as good as playing against real players. I have played with a club regularly and find this game good practice. Thanks

Even more settings

I love this app. Do you guys think you can add “Create your own Melds” and “add any cards to the deck” features. I think it’d be cool to be able to create custom melds

Pinochle

It would be nice if the partner would at least pass the pinochle cards to the bidder when spades or diamonds is named trump. It’s very irritating to have three legs of the pinochle and then not get the other piece from your partner. I was passed the ace of spades(trump) the ace of hearts and two aces of clubs and the partner kept the jack of diamonds I needed for double pinochle. No need to send extra ace of clubs-very disappointed. Again was passed one jack of diamonds instead of both and missed out on a double pinochle. I don’t understand why double pinochle isn’t first priority for my partner. So very aggravated.

The AI partner is programmed to pass trump and aces first, and then the pinochle cards to declarer when spades or diamonds are trump. We have some options in settings to configure the passing priorities, but we may have to add another one to support more aggressive pinochle passing. If you find cases where the passing is in error, please send us an email at support@neuralplay.com and we will work on a fix for an update.

Need a new partner

I enjoy the game - especially that I can configure so many options to make it very close to the way my family and I play. But, I need a slightly smarter partner, especially when it comes to being aware of the game score. Today, we were 5 points from winning, our opponents were way behind us, and all we would have had to do was pass to go out. Instead, my partner bid a high big, which we failed to make, and we ultimately lost the game. Similarly, my partner doesn’t realize when our opponents are close to winning and we are way behind, our only hope of winning the game is to let them get the bid and put them up.

Glad to hear you are enjoying NeuralPlay Pinochle. Thank you for your review. We apologize for the bad luck. We use (and suggest) the Menu - Skip Hand option when there is too much bad luck or there are hands we do not wish to play.

AI doesn’t play right

My AI partner always outbids me only to flush out all of my trump and then we lose the bid! What’s up with the eternal drive to get out the A of trump, even leading with k and 10s? The AI does this until the last A of trump has played….and often leaves us going set due to having no more trump! Why does my partner always outbid me ? If I have an awesome run I have to keep outbidding my AI partner until we cannot save! Ugh ! I liked your ap at first cus I lik3 the game but i5 definitely needs to learn the gam3 better!

Thank you for your review. We are working on improvements. The AI on level 3 is programmed to use human logic and will draw trump a lot when the team has taken the bid. The AI on levels 4+ uses a Monte Carlos simulation and determines the best time to draw trump based on simulations. We are working on improvements to all levels. The AI will keep bidding once over you if it has a good hand (like a run and/or a long suit). We are working on improvements here too.

Inconsistent Scoring

Very nice set up for play. Unfortunately, more than a few scoring inconsistencies, that diminishes any interest in continuing.
