You get punished for buying gems

I originally was obsessed with this game, nothing like id ever played before so I decided to buy some more gems around 75ish days in. This was all well and good as it was only £1.99 but the game seems to be punishing me for doing so. I am only able to watch 2 ads a day for 15 energy whereas I used to be able to watch a lot more for 25 energy each. I have also lost the ability to watch ads for bubbles, only given the option to spend a large amount of gems for it. After searching on Reddit it takes 4 WEEKS to resolve. Won’t be paying money into this game again if this is how they encourage people to spend money. Story is okay but nothing spectacular as it seems to take a while to get to the result of yet another drama. I’d give maybe 4/10.

New event intro/tutorials need to be skippable

I suddenly and aggressively realized this need when I opened my game just now to the new community letters event. That was easily the longest, most detailed, and most cumbersome forced into to a new game feature I’ve ever experienced while mid-game and not having just started playing. I play this game pretty exclusively to destress, and when I finally sit down on my bed at 4:30am after a 14 hour workday to do just that, the inability to skip/postpone something like that, with details I’m too tired to even read let alone comprehend, literally causes the opposite and a reaction strong enough to open the App Store and leave this review. I love this game with all my heart - I’ve never played a mobile game for this long and this consistently that wasn’t, like, solitaire - but being given the option to skip those guided event tutorials, at least until the next time I open the app, would improve the experience immensely. Thanks for all you do!

Editing to 2 stars after reading other reviews about developer manipulation regarding generators. It’s true. I just blew through 250 energy, a level 3 time skip, and a level 4 time skip, to make a timed order using FOUR mid-high level drink generators, up to level 8, and got nothing but low level coffees for the last 50 energy used. What the actual f

New update

Hi e1. Up until yesterday I would of scored this a five but as per usual when a game becomes popular, they have altered it to make it harder to complete unless you buy buy buy!
However, I personally do spend £9.99 every 20 days so I can be classed as a premier player on the monthly in house games and also pay £2.99 to collet 300 gems every time I accrue them.
However, I received a in-house email to say that every player has asked for it to become harder!….! Ha ha ha I do not believe this for one minute the email also stated the mini in house games will become harder to complete as well as as the amount of coins it takes to complete the design part of the game. I.e it has gone up by 20 coins.
So to finish this lengthy review off I would look for something else as I will be doing.
What a absolute shame love & pies I was obsessed with this game.

I so love the storyline between Joe and Amelia

Maybe it’s because my husbands name is Joe but I love the storyline between Joe and Amelia. I sure hope Joe gets his full memory back and remembers that he was pushed from the windmill. And I would love to see Edwina’s dad get what he deserves, he is such a pompous donkey backside! Edwina and Amelia as friends would be ok, I’d really like to see the drama queen mellow out. Now I have a complaint! I purchase a pass only to lose precious time in completing it because “the bake-off” shows up because the developers need to write more things for Amelia and Joe to do. The Bake off puts different people up for order fulfilling and it seems like I either run out of energy or usage of the various items used for fullfilling orders. Plus the little side games with collecting and assembling the (currently flower seeds for Amelia’s daughter). Takes up room on the playing board. Geez it can get frustrating! Now you are adding the conservation section, which I am all for but what kind of room is that going to take on our already shrinking playing field? I will no longer purchase Pass’s as I find them almost impossible to complete.

Good game - too many popups

I’ve been playing this game for about a week so far, and I do really enjoy it - good graphics, nice designs, good way to kill a bit of time, plus it’s not too difficult to merge the energy together so running out quickly isn’t a huge issue.

The one thing I do find irritating, however, and which does sway me away from using the app as much as I otherwise would, is the amount of popups you get every time you open the app. Typically it’s just events, package deals and other in-app payments, but the sheer amount of them means you’re clicking through for about a minute or two just to play the game. It seems unnecessary since there are little icons along the side for the exact same deals, and the events come up as part of the game anyway.

Too many pop ups!!

I love this game and I enjoy the gameplay, how it’s generally easy to just pick it up and waste time on it. I also appreciate how you can earn gems fairly easily just by playing consistently, and it isn’t pay-to-play. I also like that there’s only ads when you voluntarily choose to watch one for a reward, no pop up ads. BUT, when you open the app there’s an insane amount of pop ups from the game. It genuinely makes me not want to open the app because it’s so annoying to X out of like 10 pop ups about events and add on options that spawn every single time you open the app. It would be much preferred if they were just on the sidebar when we opened like events are when they’re active. Then if someone wants to see it, they can choose to click on it. I don’t even pay attention to what the pop ups are saying because I just want to get to the game, so it feels counterintuitive to me. This game would be a 5/5 if it weren’t for that extremely annoying feature. There was a time where the pop ups were cut back and I enjoyed the app more, but lately it’s been very bad.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I absolutely love this game!!!! It’s so cute and relaxing and the little emotions in the conversations are so so cute! I love the storyline and there are close to 0 Ads as well so that is amazing!!
My one criticism is that the energy is very expensive in gems and when you run out of gems it takes a lot to build them back up and also the energy gets more and more expensive each time which is annoying! I feel like it would be nice if you could buy the gems with in game currency like the coins instead of real money for the people who can’t afford it / don’t want to spend money on a game.
Otherwise thought it is an amazing game and I 100% recommend it!
I always read the reviews on games like this and they are always saying that the game is different from the ad but this one is exactly how it is portrayed and I am very pleased with that ! 💗💗

Good game. Too many pop ups!

I enjoy this game but I play maybe once a day most days. The amount of pop ups I have to click through is ridiculous!

What would be better is to put them all into one pop up that you can scroll through or X out of if you don’t want or need to look at all of them.

Frequently makes me rethink playing the game

Don’t punish players that occasionally pay for content

Used to absolutely love this game - a great way to relax. I never actually fully complete any of the events, unfortunately (aside from Customer clash), but that usually doesn’t really bother me aside from the ones that actually change the world around me. As a completionist, it’s super frustrating to have my world still littered with unfinished locations because it’s impossible to complete without paying. And then, when I *was* interested enough to pay just so I could finish it, the developers punish you by lessening what you can get by watching ads. You can no longer get higher levelled merge items, and energy dropped from 25 to only 15, with less ads available. And from what I’ve read on Reddit, I should be expecting to be without that for around 5 weeks.

Word of advice, if you *want* your players to continue to purchase content occasionally, don’t punish them or try to bully them into buying more. Definitely won’t be interested in giving more money just to be left more frustrated than being without.

Such a cute game that’s better than I expected!!

I haven’t played for long but so far this is such a cute game! The graphics are great, the story is really interesting, and the game mechanics are simple and visually appealing. Also love that the daughter wears a dinosaur costume!! Good job to the creators!
