Doesn’t work anymore

Doesn’t work with new watch OS paid for it and I’m not even allowed to download it again

Response from developer

I'm sorry you are having trouble with the app. This is a free app. Be sure you are trying to install the app using the app store on your watch - it will not work if you are using the app store on your phone. If you need further help please contact support@jwerfel.com

Doesn’t work with new watch OS

Series 9 watch

No matter what I tried I couldn’t get the app to take the api, large waste of time

Jweatherwatch

The app worked fine until I needed to resync my watch/iphone. After the sync, the app was no longer. The app store had purchase grayed out and prevented me from downloading the app. So, apparently I still have the app, but it is no longer accessible on the iphone. Why can’t I simply re-download the app? You are making this unnecessarily frustrating.

Great simple app, could use minor tweak

I’m so happy to have finally found a Watch app that pulls directly from Ambient! I just wish the complication was nicer on faces like Wayfinder and Infograph (round, analog style faces). It looks rather plain/boring compared to the one shown on digital faces, which looks more like the built in weather app. The decimal seems unnecessary if that’s what’s keeping the complication on round faces from looking more like the built in app.

API key paste fail

I have attempted to paste the API key, obtain from Ambient Weather Network, and have been unable to get the pasted key to stick. It returns a blank after I paste it. more specific instructions as to why this paste fails would be helpful. Too bad, it looked like a good app.

Response from developer

Unfortunately there is a bug in iOS/Watch OS so you can’t paste into that field. It is not a problem with the app but the OS. You can always manually enter the API key using the keyboard on your phone. If you have any questions contact me at support@jwerfel.com

Amazing free app!

Setup is a challenge because of a bug in iOS 15, can’t fault the dev for Apple’s bugs.

I manually typed the Ambient Weather API key (first time putting it in the open weather box, so be careful there are two input boxes for different things!). Once I got it typed in the right place immediately worked.

Amazing, real time and charts all work perfectly. TY Julian you don’t deserve that one star review for Apple’s bugs.

Great App!

Does what it says, displays data from your AmbientWeather station on your watch. Developer was very helpful, and the app doesn’t collect data. And it’s free!

Disappeared on iwatch 7

I purchased this app when I had my old iwatch. After switching to the newest watch, the app is no longer installed on my watch and cannot be reinstalled. In the app store it says purchased, but gives no option for reinstalling. Please fix.

Response from developer

Be sure you are installing the app on the watch. It shows up on the phone but it only is installed on the watch. If you are having trouble I suggest removing the app from your watch and then installing it again. Be sure you are using the App Store on your watch and not your phone

Can’t enter key

The app is a great idea but the ambient weather api key is like 50 characters long and I couldn’t find a way to copy and paste it in. Maybe add a preference in the iPhone watch app settings to add the key? Not sure.

As developer suggested, I tried copy and paste from phone when given typing prompt. Paste doesn’t work. I gut no paste prompt. Maybe a Mac OS bug.

Response from developer

From the watch when you click on the API Key field you have an option to use a keyboard on your phone. Then you can copy/paste the key from your phone.
