  • Great Start, Hope this maintains development

This game is great. The gameplay loop is easy to understand and there are links in the game that walk you through top strategies to make the most out of your time. No ads or P2W IAPs.

I know it’s developed by one person, but i think that if this game continues to grow he’ll need some help to implement some features that I think are more substantial.

I would like to see a revamped fishing (it’s honestly a chore), maybe some craftable rods, maybe (dare I say it) some form of fighting wilderness baddies? I mean, the infrastructure is already there from Magic and Wires other game, Titan Conquest. Maybe delve into the mines a la stardew valley. I bet there is ton that can be done, considering this is mostly a text based game.

Some QoL improvements: sort inventory easier w/ options, maybe a toggle for simple haptic feedback for clicks and SFX, tracking multiple or specific items for crafting /purchasing (even if not on an active help request— ie, let me track eggplants and bottles or whatever, even if not relevant to one quest). I could list several others.

Overall, I hope you support this game and give it a try. There’s nothing to lose. And, the community is great.

  • Mobile Game of the Year for me!

I’ve been playing FarmRPG every day since October 12th, even when I was in another country on vacation. The community in chat absolutely slaps, everyone is kind, fun, and genuinely interested in other folks’ progress and how much fun everyone’s having. The dev (firestream/fs) is constantly working on improving the game, and has JUST cleared up a major source of lag (that might have prevented players from fully enjoying the game). Honestly, a highlight of my day every time I come back to play. I choose to support the dev on Patreon, but it’s not because I feel like I need to buy in-game currency to progress. Plenty of the game’s quests reward Gold for turning in items, and there’s no ads in the game, which gives it a huge thumbs up in my book. I’ve wasted too much time in other idle/mobile games waiting for a 30 second timer just to keep playing. FRPG rocks, and it’s the greatest mobile game I’ve ever played. Keep up the great work, fs (and all the farmhands and mods)! The gameplay loop is satisfying and things are constantly being tweaked and added, which might not appeal to some players, but I think it keeps things fresh. Thanks a ton, folks.

  • Great Game , Great Developer

I been holding back on writing a review because its not what i usually do but man this game is astonishing! This Is What I have been looking for a game that is a good rpg. I can relate this game to a discord bot like dank memer bot or any economical bot but this is way better and the developer keeps the game running smooth and always looks for improvements. The community is one of the best communities you will ever find it is so helpful and cheering! The Developer gets online to converse with community members too and updates the game nearly everyday with updates that the community loves. i can go on and on but i want to leave the rest to you.

  • THIS GAME IS P2W

The owner is constantly stressing that the game game won’t ever be p2w. And a lot of players say it isn’t based on the premise that it isn’t a competitive game.

You will never in your lifetime catch up to players who spend gold if you don’t constantly buy gold for upgrades.

People talk about the free gold you get through quests and what not but neglect that one of the main upgrades is inventory space. You will easily spend over half the gold you can possibly earn from quests and just playing the game if you ever want to have at least 6 hours of offline progress.

P2W means players who spend money will have a huge advantage over players who don’t and TRUST ME they have a massive advantage over casual players.

The owner is constantly coming out with more and more cash grab upgrades. $25 worth of gold for a pretty weak upgrade. And that’s only one of the MANY expensive upgrades that was released ON A SINGLE DAY.

I’ve seen it before and I’ve seen it again, a game owner who acted genuine in his intent to make this game completely not p2w yet constantly throws out cash grab after cash grab.

If you ARE a p2w player this is the game for you! You will be able to sail light years ahead of everyone else and have things that they will spend years playing by getting a little free gold from every holiday event and it will only cost you about $200 to skip the line and have more than them on day 1.

  • Pay to win

Game has potential but is still pay to win unfortunately. Very limited/slow to earn gold which you can buy for real money of course. Gold is needed to unlock all the good stuff like automated farming, increased profits etc. Without it, the game is extremely slow and struggles to stay interesting. I’m not even 2 days in, bought the starter pack (200gold) and already I’m bored/choked without gold.

Earning the free gold is extremely slow. There are also levelling and ranking systems, publicly viewable on profiles. So there may not be an end-game to win however this is still a competitive game and therefore pay to win. Denying this is a bad look, game is well made and has potential to stand out from the rest if the gold system is adjusted. For example, you could allow conversion of silver to gold.

    Developer Response

Thanks for playing! You can actually earn over 4000 gold from playing and complete every part of the game without spending any money. Also the game is non-competitive so there’s nothing to “win”. Clearly the game just wasn’t for you. Thanks for trying it. Most players don’t complete as you describe.
  • Everything I wanted and more!

When I first downloaded this game, I was expecting sort of an idle farming game where you plant the crops and come back to the app later to harvest them. This game has so much more than I ever expected it to, and the developers are constantly rolling out new stuff! You can explore different regions to find rare items, raise animals, plant trees, age wine, and even go fishing (a fishing mini game is the sign of a good game!), and more.

The best part of this game is the community! The people in the Chat tab are so kind, friendly, and generous! You can trade with other players, ask questions, or just chat about whatever and there are always people around to help you out.

I highly recommend this game and think everyone should have a little Farm RPG in their pocket.

  • A great game

I love this game and I’ve had a great time playing it for a while now however I somehow got logged out. No big deal except for I can’t log back in again. I’ve tried resetting my password through an email but it isn’t allowing me to do that and if I put in my login it says there’s an error. I would love to continue playing the game but if I can’t log back in I don’t see a way to do so.

Update: so I sent a support ticket in and as soon as I did that I tried resetting my password again and it managed to work 😅 a five star game for me and I really like how it doesn’t need super constant attention so I can play every single day or just every few days. I’m glad I figured out how to get back in again!

  • Amazing!

I’ve never written a review of anything before but I had to for this. I’ve enjoyed games like stardew valley before but always found they are too time consuming and you need to set aside time to really get into it. This however is so well designed you can either play it for hours on end or just dip in occasionally when you have time. I’ve been playing it non stop since I downloaded and am loving it! Great work from the dev!

  • Great Game, Highly Recommend

First of all, LOVE this game. Great for the couple minutes of free time I have to mess around on a little farm.

    Pros:
    1. No babysitting, no setting alarms to make sure you make the deadline.
    2. My favorite part: no purchases required!!! This is a game you can actually complete, and still get everything offered, if you have a little patience. Still in-game purchases for those who like a little boost, but they aren’t necessary to get the full game experience.
    3. There are not adds whatsoever! Not like the “ad-less” games that always end up with ads someway or another (and you have to pay to get rid of them). This is completely and utterly ad-free!

    Cons:
    1. This is NOT an interactive game, this is an idle game. If you are looking for an idle game, this is a great choice!
    2. Some things are hard to understand, and it is hard to find information or tutorials. Most of the confusion can be resolved by going to the Library (under Go Into Town, then Information District) and looking at the FAQs.

TLDR: Overall, highly recommend for those who like farm-style, idle games without adds, deadlines, and required purchases.

  • Amazing

When the creator of the game is constantly interacting with the community and making changes almost every day, you know you’ve found a unique game. It’s not only addicting to farm, craft, explore and fish, it’s also relaxing. Especially since this game is uninterrupted by ads or pay to play mechanics. There is one currency you can pay for that isn’t even necessary to get since the game gives you so much for just playing. But if you do decide, supporting the SOLO CREATOR on Patreon can allow you to be a beta tester and get both great perks. Did I mention this game was phenomenal? Cause it really is.
