  • Fantastic

This is the game I’d been looking for as I downloaded idle clicker after idle clicker, only to delete them two weeks in.
Starting with four skills, the game immediately requires you to switch between tasks to improve everything with a complex web of dependencies to navigate. While there are certainly timers to wait upon, there is still always something worth doing to play actively. Progress can sync with an online client, and the developer appears to be very active with updates.
Slight caveat is that there are a few bugs in the iOS frontend. I’ve encountered a few times that the app will freeze, and I have to force close it and restart, but doing so is incredibly quick and due to the connected backend, risk of losing progress (no matter how little) is essentially zero.
Superb game, I am thoroughly enjoying it.

  • Disgusting customer service

I’m not trying to create drama or cause problems. However, I have seen a couple people playing Farm RPG. And I just want to warn you all that they’re not as helpful as you would like or hope. I reached out about a couple accessibility problems and they basically pushed me away and told me to figure it out for myself. That if something was an accessible, I didn’t need to do it. There have been multiple other problems which lead me to believe that they don’t really care about everybody like they say they do. Not telling you guys to stop playing it just giving you a warning that, you’re not going to get the help that you might want.

    Developer Response

We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you encountered while playing this game with voiceover. We remain committed to ongoing improvements and appreciate your valuable feedback.
  • No game quite like this

I am an avid gamer. Over 30 years old and now a mother of 3, I still play multiple games daily. This one took me by surprise: it is structured differently that every other farming game you can get. You are always growing and expanding and discovering. At first it feels like “uh, this is it?” But then you realize you can spend hours doing things in the app and making progress, constantly unlocking new areas and things to do or discovering new items and the puzzle of figuring out what to do with them. BUT you can also leave the app for hours or even days and open it later and there is no real punishment for that, everything is how you left it. Farm RPG strikes the perfect balance between hardcore gamers and casual gamers and brings them together in one fun interactive experience.

  • Player-centric

At first I thought it was a typical idle game. Now I read the short and silly “Help Wanted” stories and look forward to my next little bit of progress and dopamine.
Most ethically designed and player-centric game of its type I’ve ever seen.
  • Easy to get immersed in

There are no fancy animations, there’s no PVP, there’s no nail-biting time sensitive action. What there is, well, is a super addictive game that gets better and better.

First and foremost, when they say ad-free, it really is. There’s no pop ups, you don’t need to watch ads to plant more crops. It is 100% game time. Second, there is always something to do. Fish for a while, garden, then explore. Maybe I want to fish for the next hour straight, no problem. There’s plenty of things to upgrade as you go so you can make your own goals, or just focus on the missions given.’

I do not normally write reviews, and I hardly ever spend money on mobile games, but I can say that I support the developers on Patreon so they can keep the game ad free and developing more wonderful content.

  • Literally the best

I’m an avid mobile gamer. I’ve always got a game I’m playing and frequently dive deep into them. I’m not exaggerating at all when I say this is the best mobile/cross platform game I’ve ever played. It’s perfect in its simplicity and extremely deep in its complexity. The currencies are so well balanced. The quests are appropriately challenging. The game is fun both for newbies and “T199s” and manages to stay fresh for all levels. The community is fantastic and the game enables their incredible generosity. People are genuinely supportive of other players and it Feels Good to play and help others out.

Did I mention that it’s totally ad free and the devs are insistent on making it possible to succeed without paying a penny? I’ve given them tons of money because of this but that has been my choice, not at all a requirement of the game.

I read a review like this before playing the game and thought it was overhyped but if anything I think it’s dramatically under hyped. It’s such a good game. Please go play it and see what I mean!

  • Great game

Great game, very addictive! Love the no adds! Always something to do and keeps you interested and hooked in the game. However there are a few bugs that need improvement as if you only want to craft 1 item it will not allow it until you exit and then do it again, but overall great game!
  • A Truly Unique Experience

There are many games like this one. Games that have different mechanics and features that quickly become an unending grind that upsets many and deters most. And the life that the writers breathe into Redbrook sometimes just isn’t enough. But what truly sets FarmRPG apart from other games is its community.

I’ve never seen a game with a community so kind, so helpful, so willing to go out of their way to help a fellow player with that one small step forward (And some even with the big leaps in your FarmRPG journey), that they’d more than happily lend their hard-earned items and resources.

Everyone is generally so carefree, so cheerful and so willing to provide you with that extra boost, whether it be nets or stamina items, quest items or otherwise, they’re in most cases not going to sit back and watch their fellow farmers wade through the grind. It’s restored a great deal of my faith in humanity, and I hope it continues to thrive for years to come.

  • Such a gem of a game!

This game is so wonderful! I love this community!

It is so much fun and there are too many good things to say in a short review like this.

I’m fairly active in the Giveaways chat and it’s so nice to see everyone helping each other!

I love how there’s always something to do and the pacing of the game feels really well done. The storyline doesn’t feel like it lags if you have to spend a longer time on something because there’s multiple quests and seasonal events and personal help requests, oh my!

The way building friendship with the townsfolk works is really cool!

Another great thing is that there’s no waiting for energy to recharge for an absurd amount of time like in some other games.

There are no ads, at all. And there aren’t pushes to buy premium currency. It’s completely free unless you decide actively to support the creators via non pay to win methods. It makes it feel really accessible to all kinds of players. It’s really nice to have a free to play game that doesn’t feel pay to win. (Side note: I absolutely do believe people should be payed for their work, and this game is no exception. The devs and mods work really hard and that really shows!) This game is such a gem. If you’re on the fence, give it a try and you won’t regret it!

  • Great game with one thing missing

First off, this game is amazing! There are lots of different areas to visit, skill improvements and more, but there is one thing missing, accessibility. I am blind and use a screen reader called VoiceOver on my iPhone. I have played a games over the years, and stuck with a handful of them. I think many blind people would enjoy this game. There are very few mainstream games that are also accessible and that appeal to both blind and sighted players. In addition, I think this is one of the few farming games which are accessible. I have heard that the dev is working on accessibility improvements. I have been able to do most things in Farm RPG, but there are a few tasks that I have gotten stuck on, such as planting and harvesting crops. For the most part, I am able to do everything else in this game. It would be great if more blind people got this game and provided their feedback to the developer. For everyone else, definitely get this game if you like games you can play over time and don't have to be tied to.
