The app could be better. The bikes should be scrapped
The app would be better if it informed riders how much charge is available in the listed bikes before going to the parking station.
The bikes were chose had unserviceable brakes and none were showing any charge on the LEDs. We tried them in case the LEDs were too faint fur the bright sun but they were both spent. On returning to the parking station, all the bikes were showing zero charge. One bike had a front light hanging off.
I’m deleting the app because I won’t be trying another of these bikes.
If it wasn’t to provide a reliable service Vélonecy would be advised to check out the Bolt system used in Tallinn.

AVOID at all costs, whatever you do this isn’t how to get a bike in Annecy
Absolute trash, just rent from an actual bike rental place. All the bikes have extremely low battery and the app barely works, constant bugs and reopening of the application to get it to function correctly. Furthermore a ridiculous system of paying a deposit of 30€ which is held for days by the merchant. This is charged every time you even try to rent one of their bikes which probably won’t work, many have no brakes and are generally extremely poorly maintained and therefore a danger to those using. Oh your brakes don’t work? Want another bike? Another 30€ out of your account for another bike that won’t work… In my travels I have used many similar services and none have ever been as bad as this one. Stay away at all costs
