If you use apples proprietary camera app, your pictures will come out fantastic. Editing is also a breeze. If you happen to use Hydra, camera +, or any other photo app, you will have serious issues editing in Stop Motion Factory. The image will glitch out and rotate on its own, effects and edits will be placed crooked to your image. Small glitch, hopefully they will fix it in the next update.
I didn't have the older app, so don't have an unfavorable comparison. In fairness, I do use another app for cropping, so perhaps the older one was better in that regard. The level of control I have over the various pieces of post-processing is GREAT! The only thing I'd like to see added is the ability to bulk upload. It's a minor annoyance to load each photo individually, however it IS minor. Overall this is one of my favorite editing apps. Clean interface, easy to use, great control.
Easily the best free photo editor app available. So much fun things you can do! I used to hate photo editing apps because you couldn't do anything unless you paid money. But this is amazing! It is a bit hard at first, but once you get the hang of it, you are like amazing at it! I seriously take pictures and edit them just for fun now!
Thank you for this update, which solved a major problem from the last version. I can now spot edit accurately again, especially with being able to see the photo without the editing for before accepting it. And it's so great to once again be able to copy and paste the selective editing settings to other parts of the picture. I still miss the varied vignetting settings from before the overhaul, but beyond that I think this update incorporates a lot of the best features of the original and new versions.
Stop Motion Factory has always been my go to photo editing app for about two years. This new version is so much better and I didn't even know that it could be. I just used the new version for the first time a minute ago and I really love it. So snappy and intuitive. Please never change it. Thank you!!
Worked great until the latest update. Now the videos fail to generate. The GIF making function still works but the actual stop motion video maker does not. Not sure why. I take the pictures and push the generate button and it sends me a failed to make video message. Itโs not because of the size of the video either. The one I just did has 233 frames in it but I have made several with thousands of frames and they worked just fine before the update.

Does the error occur every time you make a video? And restarting the app still doesn't fix the problem? Please check if there is enough storage space on your phone. We can communicate via email johndong2019@163.comFirst off this app is great. It can make movies that look pretty cool. On the other hand though it will not let my camera focus. I tried with my normal camera app and it could focus just fine, but when I used the app it wouldnโt focus at ALL. This really agitates me sometimes when Iโm trying to make a movie and it wonโt focus.
Let me say, this app is wonderful! Itโs amazing for beginners because you can able a feature to see previous frames which I like! And you can go on your photos to add stuff to it, But what would make this app better if the frames can go to 24. Donโt get me wrong 10 is ALOT, But it can help it look way smoother if it can go all the way to 24 or 20! So people that made this AMAZING app please can you add 24 frames, I can make so much stop motions with it! (If you read it thank you for your time!)
One of the best stop motion apps I have ever seen! You can add text and do other stuff I havenโt even tried out yet! It also has onion skinning, a feature Iโm told you need if you want a good stop motion app which is VERY GOOD as I recently started using this app because my current stop motion app ran out of storage. So from what I can tell, this stop motion app is strongly recommend for anyone; a professional or a beginner. I canโt rate it higher that 5 stars but they need 6 stars just for this.
If you are looking to have a huge frame to fit everything, donโt pick this app. The frame is miniature and cannot fit everything together like other apps can. Overall, there are many other things that come in use, like take the time for example. You are free to express wether you want a fast stop motion picture or a very slow motion picture. Iโm hoping there will soon be a wide variety of frames soon.
