Controls better than competitors and NO SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

Actual GOATed app its incredibly easy to use and comes with just a one time purchase (a rarity these days), don’t bother with the other posing apps on the app store just use this one.

The best posing tool, hands down

Nothing is perfect, and this app does have a few (very minor) issues. But any criticisms I have of this app are minor nitpicks and the conclusion is still the same: this is the best piece of posing software on the market.

I've used tons of other tools, apps, programs on PC, models built into art programs etc. They always suffer from the same issues: difficult to use and/or stiff posing/models. This is usually a consequence of trying to provide too much control to the user, that posing the figure becomes a difficult process or bloating the app with unnecessary features.

This app takes a different approach, moving the figure is easy and intuitive thanks to the touch controls. Moving a hand has the arm follow and bend in natural ways to get you in the right ballpark which you can then fine tune yourself. Everything is connected and fluid.

This app has much deeper features that offer some much more advanced use-cases. But 90% of the time all you want is to quickly pose a figure to act as reference, and the process of doing that is so easy, simple and effective that it outshines every other posing software I've used.

Response from developer

Thank you so much, your review really made me happy. Be sure you check the latest version, check also poseit 2.0 on YouTube to check all the new features.

A Must Have Posing App especially The Pro Version! Must Buy! But needs few features..

I’ve been using this app for months and I’ve bought the Pro Version, it is so good! I’ve using these mannequins for my drawings, the finger posing good! The Mannequin Workshop excellent! The Save System for scenes and poses!

But two features might be good and if possible to add in…

Please add an Orthographic View from Blender, so you can switch to Perspective to Orthographic mode. It will be good for people who make Character Sheets.

And lastly… please add a “File Folder Organiser” within the Custom Pose and Scenes because I made too many poses and saved so many scenes, i think it would be a life saver for everyone to group each Saved Scenes and Poses.

Adore the App!

I love this app and I use it for my art all the time, there are some things that stop it from being 5 stars in my eyes and thats just the limited selection of props and body parts. The werewolf is cool but it’s missing it’s tail etc. Having a devil or some winged critter would be cool. And maybe more firearms or a backpack or something along those lines. Make it a pro selection if you must, I’d pay money for a Dog model lol. Small suggestion? How about custom props? Like using the shapes to make something then having it be its own solid item that you can save and re-use? For example, I took the Lever action rifle you have as a prop then used the cubes and cylander to make a Fallout Laser rifle! I was proud of how it looked but was disappointed I couldn't give the other models the same thing because even if the shapes and rifle are attached to the character’s hand, they’re still individual shapes. TLDR. Love the app, wish there were more options in models and props, suggest custom prop maker similar to the custom model maker system! God bless.

Really come to love this app

This is a solid app. Small learning curve with the controls and can be a little buggy (Save your scenes often), but when I need to build a scene, it does the job and does it well. What sold it for me was the ability to customize the models to varying degrees and save them. Also, the OBJ export for 3D sculpting is a plus, something I really wanted from Magic Poser (without the subscription). The privacy practices listed are a bit concerning and there are a few other features I’m still hoping for for ease of use, but overall I’m pleasantly surprised so far. Looking forward to future updates.

It’s okay but there’s better

It’s fine if you just need a shot with one person but god forbid you want two characters close to each other or interacting

It’s incredibly difficult to turn the models and even more difficult if not impossible to move them from where they spawn in

Needs more props

I personally love this app, and I just got the pro version. But one little thing that I can personally say, and recommend for all of us when I say this.. we need more props such as more swords or blunt objects. Something like a knife, a scythe, a baseball bat or hammer. I also want to recommend more hat options plus more guns, like a revolver or a shotgun to add. Plus new chairs would be nice instead of just a plain one. This is just my recommendations it’s just pretty bland having just the same old props to use over and over again and it’s not really giving me any creative feeling. This is just my thoughts. Not only that, I guess for female models a dress prop sounds good too.

And hammers too

My favorite paint app

I love this so much. Everything is pretty intuitive, flexible, and easy to use. It has helped so much in giving me reference for my different pieces. I purchased it because it offers so much value. Highly recommend it for anyone needing reference for poses! The lighting features are fantastic as well.

Update:
I've been using it for months, and I love it even more. This is amazing! I have to tell everyone about it. I have the paid version. Also, I love that it's a one-time purchase. That's one of the reasons I bought it in the first place, and I'm so glad I did.

Cannot edit the lighting at all

I edit the lighting to change the colour or brightness, and exit it to look at the pose to see how it looks and decide I want to change the lighting, I open the lighting up again and it completely resets entirely, colour brightness, everything, so even if I just want to modify the brightness of the second light, or the change background, the main primary light will always reset and screw me up and every time I change it back, and close the lighting to open it up again, it will reset again. The file reset does nothing to fix it, I’ve reinstalled the app(Which got rid of all my saves). I was really enjoying the app until this, because lighting is the one thing I struggle with, and I loved how easy to use the lighting in this app is, but if I to keep practically starting the lighting over from scratch every single time I open it, just to make one small change than this isn’t for me.

Decent, needs more tho

This app is definitely one of the better ones I’ve used as an artist, what with its various presets, finger manipulation and accurate lighting - However, there are a number of things I would consider adding to improve the experience and dexterity of the app.

Regarding the more realistic and anatomical bodytype, while it is useful, it only takes into account the male body and it’s anatomy - I believe it would serve well to also enable a female bodytype of the same calibur of detail.

I believe it would be helpful to add a weight toggle/slider to alter the physical size of the body, making it easier for artists to pinpoint exactly how the body looks at different weights and sizes.

While it’s not at all a necessity, I thought it would also be pleasant to be able to manipulate the face and the expression of the preset similarly to the fingers. This adds a level of intricacy to the app.

Thank you for reading!
