Doesn’t even work can’t pair grill and iPhone
Complete crap app. Won’t even pair.
Completely illogical App
Can’t read the current probe temperature. There is no alarm for when the desired probe temperature is reached. It makes no sense at all.
Garbage App
Won’t connect. When it goes it drops. Good turns off. Makes the entire process a nightmare. Pile of crap. Guess you get why you pay for. Very unhappy. I won’t be buying another Nexgrill needless to say.
Crap app
No support response. Like one of the developer response says, I made sure I had the up to date app. Multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. The app freezes up and just keeps spinning when doing firmware update.
Monitors but can’t control grill
The shutoff function doesn’t work. The app will say that it turns off the grill but then after 1 min it refreshes and shows that it is still on and cooking. Definitely needs an update.
Good grill-crap app
The app almost works on my iPad, but horrible on my iPhone. The idea is good just poorly done.
So far not great
Running my second smoke with the Oakford 790 and the app is complete junk. It has to reconnect with the unit every time I want to check the app, won’t connect via Wi-Fi, doesn’t allow temperature changes on the fly, the app straight up does NOT WORK. Having the Wi-Fi connectivity was the number one reason I bought this grill and without it, it just a glorified Z Grill. Can’t even get any troubleshooting information without having to call their call center, which is closed of course. Not impressed.

Doesn’t stay connected
This app has a hard time staying connected to Wi-Fi. It’s kinda important
Cannot change temperature via app
On my Oakford 580 I am able to connect the grill to the app and monitor the cook, however when trying to change the temperature up or down during a cook the app fails. I can set the new temperature, but the app just reverts back to the previous temperature si nothing changes.

The app is nice when it connects to my pellet grill but it only connects maybe half the time.
