Response from developer

If you have no audio when playing the game, please check you don’t have ‘Mute’ enabled on your device. If you are using an iPad, swipe diagonally down from the top right corner of the screen to open Control Center. If you disable Mute the audio should return. It’s ok but

It crashes incessantly. If I knew it was going to be that bad, I wouldn’t have paid for it.

Frustrating

In already frustrated within 1 minute of playing the free trial. There is no indication on how to open the door or any objectives or clear way to open the door at the very start of the game. Im also not impressed that they dont include “trial” in the title in the iphone shop. I thought it was the full game for free, and when i opened the game it prompts me to pay

Beyond exceptional

I’ve just finished it and had to come back to say this game has restored my faith in gaming on iPhones. I was worried it was going to be old and crunky but instead it was smooth and well polished with great graphics and amazing storyline. There was No need to constantly buy within the game like modern games. Just one initial payment to buy the game and I entered a different world. Old school gaming at its finest!

Absolutely incredible

I own this game on PS4, Xbox X, Nintendo switch and now on iOS and can say with confidence that this iOS port is my favourite version of the game. Playing this on my iPad with an 8bitdo controller and my AirPods in my ears whilst out and about is just incredible and a massive achievement by the developers Feral interactive who also did the miracle Switch port. The graphics here are so impressive and just beat the Switch version but that wouldn’t mean anything without smooth game play and fast loading which this port has. The sound scape of this game on AirPods is something else and still made me jump even though I’ve played through this game numerous times. For £9.99 you’re getting one hell of a game. If I had one critique it would be nice if achievements where linked to Apple Game Center. Thanks again Feral hope you get to work on the sequel :-)

Cheaper and Better on Steam

Why would you pay $16 for this and play it on a tiny screen on your iPhone when you can buy it for $9 on Steam during a sale and play it on a Steam deck or Lenovo Legion Go or ROG Ally at the proper frame rates and a much higher resolution, why kill your battery when out and about and then when you really NEED your phone for what it’s intended for it’s dead…

You can change the Graphics Preset by selecting Options → Video → Graphics Preset from the Main or Pause Menu. 'Graphics' mode offers the best visuals for your device, and is the default setting. 'Battery Saver' lowers graphical quality to reduce power consumption. On high-end devices, a Performance preset is also available which slightly reduces graphical quality in favour of a higher framerate.

terrible

awful controls and won’t autosave reliably…boring intro solving puzzles etc
no action at all

deleted!

Don’t bother if you are left handed!!

You can even move the move control to the right hand side so you can use left hand for view control. Couldn’t get out of first room with back to front controls. I still don’t get why developers don’t cater for southpaw when it’s such a basic thing to add!!!!

I loved playing this on the xbox and PC which allows for lefties. This don’t

If you are left handed, you can use the Left Handed control scheme via Options > Controls > Control Scheme from the main menu. You can also choose to create a Custom control mode, where all on-screen buttons can be moved to wherever you desire on the screen. Too expensive for a 10 yr old game

Please lower the price of make it free

Response from developer

The initial installation of Alien: Isolation allows new players to try the first two levels of the game for free to see if they enjoy the game. There is no requirement to purchase if you do not enjoy the trail. If you have any other queries please email our support team via support@feralinteractive.com and they will be happy to help.

I know it’s a demo but at least not make it so you just walk around doing puzzles, I was playing for an hour a didn’t even see a xenomorph at actully make it playable and interesting.
