  • Upgrade is confusing

The previous app was pretty straightforward and easy to use. I’ve used the updated version since launch and these are my biggest concerns:

    1) Tracking progress during a workout is confusing:
It took me a while to figure out how to log each set and start the rest timer. Additionally, there are times that even after hitting next the progress wouldn’t save so I had to re add it.

    2) Rest timer doesn’t notify you anymore:
The old app would send you a notification to let you know that time is up. This new app requires you to leave the app open or you wont get notified.

    3) Push, Pull, Legs workout is the same and boring:
I’m only on week 2 of the push, pull, legs program and so far I’ve noticed that all the workouts are the same. I used to like the variety the old app would give since it would make it more challenging and fun, but now is the same routine which begs the question if an app that’s $15+ per month is needed. Yes, you still have the option to choose your own workouts but what’s the point..

By any means am I trashing this app, I just hope the feedback is heard and changes are made.

  • Not a bad start

Ui is a lot better than the previous version of the cbum app, workout splits and very well thought out. Unfortunately weight logging doesn’t confirm as of yet if you have a decimal which means you still have to round to up or down at the moment. And as a meal prepper it would be amazing to have the ability to also “create Meal” to make tracking meal prep a little easier.

Good Work on the app otherwise.

  • Testing it out

Initial experience: The UI has a bit of a cumbersome learning curve and some glitches. For example, it will delete your weight amount if you enter the weight into the set then minimize that tab and come back. Sometimes I would click through sets in the minimized timer and get through 4-5 before realizing it was not updating the progress in the background workout main page. Also, it has access to my health data but none of the information from my Apple Watch gets imported; steps, cal, activity, etc. I paid for the year so I’ll update accordingly.

  • New app is far too complex and not user friendly at all

    Bring back the old app
  • Bait & Switch to this confusing, poorly designed app

I was a daily user of the CBUM workout app prior to the sudden change to the STNDRD app, which happened with no notice or announcement.

This new app interface is a massive downgrade from its predecessor’s usability; it’s confusing and disorganized and is not at all intuitive. CBUM’s App was a little buggy, but was slick, minimalist, and user friendly. Additionally, my history and progress is wiped, and the workouts I loved have been replaced with workouts that seem clunky and poorly thought-out. Huge disappointment.

I reached out to STNDRD to request a refund (as I recently paid for an annual subscription to the CBUM app, which was ‘transferred’ to this new app), and they informed me that they were unable to do so. This is not the app that I paid for.

  • Hate the new app

    Bring back the old one.
  • New update

Loving the UI that the team has gone with, but not a fan of the new timer system maybe go back to how it sent you a notification when the time was up, purely because I like to browse through my music and pick my next song or to just have a scroll
  • Used to be good . Update not as much

I’m doing like 100 reps of the same exercise. 10 reps 10 sets which is kind of ridiculous.. the old workout would have 4-6 sets each. This update has a lot of numbers and lowkey overwhelming.. the old version was simple, easy and user friendly. I think I’d rather pay more for the older version actually. They tried to update and scale at too big of a pace and actually over did it because there’s no explanation to how to use the apps and wayy to many numbers.. I just want a simplified workout and the app makes it really hard because the numbers are so small. I don’t even record my numbers anymore because over complicated

  • Previous app was better

I like the previous app far better. The road to the Olympia program is nearly impossible to complete as written in a commercial gym. I also don’t find the app user friendly at all
  • Set the standard

Best fitness app so far! very complete, easy to use and very fairly priced!
