I have chronic illness and part of my treatment is to stop every hour and breath (recovery). This app has helped me so much with that. Insomnia is another issue I deal with and I love the sleep options. I also love the journaling option. I can put my intentions for the rosary or make notes or just out what’s in my heart at the moment. One thing I wish were different is in the Rosary or Prayers and readings for the day there was an option to see the prayers if you wanted and to see the scriptures they are reading from. The daily reflections tell you but daily readings do not. If they could be listed and the Prayers and Rosary written out (if we wanted to follow along watching) would make this an even better app. That is, of course, my opinion. This app is amazing and I use it daily. Thank you
I would like to add. Still LOVING THIS APP. If there was a way to make it so we can journal while listening. Instead of the option at the end. Maybe a journal button at bottom so we can journal as we listen. Also. Maybe add a few more Novenas. I am currently finishing up our Lady of Good counsel but didn’t see it in our options.

This app is phenomenal. For a long time I have felt that my prayers were OK, but I felt like I still needed to grow closer to God, but wasn’t sure how to do it. I have an extremely busy schedule between work and family commitments. As trite as that sounds, work is crucial for our way of life. This app has really helped me fill in the black spots in my life by helping me, hear the Scriptures more often, and just generally enable my spiritual growth. I feel like I am closer to God because of this app one great thing about this app is that it doesn’t get in my way to simply pray and learn, and grow closer to God, it is so well done without going overboard. I find it very easy to just open the app and listen to the daily readings or something else that will get me thinking and praying. This is such a great app, and it is too bad it does get more attention. Admittedly I use it mostly for the sleep stories but there is so much good stuff here. And it is free! It is great to have all the meditations and they are well done. I also like the audio of the daily readings and the way you are prompted to listen to what God is saying to you through them. I don’t love the dramatized productions, they just aren’t my cup of tea, but love that they are offered here. I am still discovering some of the content even though I have been using it for months. Thanks for constantly adding new meditations and sleep stories. One thing I would love is if the sleep stories didn’t have the same exact breathing reminders etc at the beginning and if that part could be slowed down without having to slow the audio. Some of them seem too rote and too fast to really be useful for calming the mind. The older ones were all different , which I appreciated. I do wish they were a little less fictionalized but l understand what they are trying to do. Great work and thank you for offering it for free!!Show lessBertuccigirl

Thank you for bringing to our world the Word of God in this high tech generation. My nephew whom I’m visiting has started reading the Bible and he asked me to join him in his Bible reading in the evening. We share our personal spiritual journey and this Amen app I will share with him. I too have gained in a more reflective way on what our Lord wants me to learn from Him. At times I still am not sure what God’s message to me and so I pray for His grace to grant me the gift of discernment and grant me His light of understanding. Every time I wake up in the early hours - 3 or 4AM - I think of Jesus and try to listen to Him in silence. I replay the gospel several times and each time a new meaning comes to light. I have been using the Amen app since it was released. I absolutely loved it and recommended it to many other Catholics. However recently, apparently after some design changes, I’ve found it very difficult and frustrating to use. The app allows my device to time out and go to sleep in the middle of a recording. I’m forced to focus on keeping the device from going to sleep instead of focusing on the app content. I brought this issue to the attention of the developers and was told that I should change the global device settings for going to sleep to give the app more time to play its content. Well that seems like the tail (an app) wagging the dog (global setting for the device). The content length varies and to completely eliminate the issue for all possible content lengths it would require disabling the battery saving feature. No other content playing app I’ve ever encountered has allowed my device to go to sleep while it was playing content. Maybe I’m too sheltered or too easily distracted, but the usefulness of the app to me has vanished. I’m currently looking for a substitute. It was wonderful while it lasted. We are an audio app, without videos, only still artwork so most people do not look at the app once the audio starts playing. I will share your feedback with the Amen team. First, the practical…Amen app is easy to use. I’m a technology idiot and it took me no time to learn how to use this app. I plan to share it with the young children in my family so they can use it too. The content of Amen has helped me to fill in the knowledge gaps from my poor Catholic formation. For example, I knew very little about Advent until I listened to the short talks by Dr. Tim Grey. Now, I can properly participate in Advent and teach my god children about the season too. The radio plays are wonderful! They teach about the lives of the saints in a way that inspires me to follow their examples. The productions are very well done making them educational and entertaining. Great Addition to My Prayer Life
While I do not use all that is available at Amen, what I’ve sampled and what I use on a regular basis brings me great peace. I’m frequently praying in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel where I live. When I’m on a shift at a low traffic time, like right now a 5:00 am on a Sunday, I especially enjoy praying by singing along with the Divine Mercy Chaplet by Handmaiden music. It is very singable, whereas the one on the EWTN App is not for me, and the music is both tender and majestic. I would highly recommend other Catholics to use this App. We are blessed to have several truly excellent Apps to facilitate, encourage, and stimulate one’s prayer life along with Holy Scripture, liturgically based prayers and other spiritual aids. I used to ponder my five “desert island books” should I ever be stranded with only my company and five books. I would ponder now which spiritual Apps would I want if I were stranded and just providentially had internet. The Amen App would make my “desert island Apps” list.Show lessGrammyYiaYia

Separated from the Church as a child, my parents opting to join the Mormon church, and then after their separation, a modern Baptist congregation where I was baptised. Up until a few months ago, I was essentially non-denominational and almost at a loss, until I came across a series of videos breaking down The Divine Comedy; the man talking about each section would occasionally regale God and Christ not as an angry and judgmental being as I was used to hearing, but as someone who was infinitely patient and eagerly awaiting our return to Him. The more he spoke about the subject, the more it moved me and made me realise I saw Him all wrong.
I came across this app in my journey to prepare myself to rejoin the faith and gain a newfound understanding of the Lord, and have yet to be disappointed. I feel at peace, but know my journey is just beginning. Very grateful to my chance encounter online, and to this app, for opening my eyes and heart to His love and grace. I was not close to my Catholic faith nor did I know much about it. I went to church only on holidays. I’m not even sure who told me about the app or what even made me download it. All I know is I have been a very bad marriage and have been very lonely for a long time. Listening to the Amen app while I walk my dogs or when I’m down has just brought me such a sense of peace. I’m not alone anymore. I have Jesus in my life and he is all I need! When I have a problem I listen and somehow the message always pertains to what I need. I am more at peace than I ever have been. I go to church all the time I actually became a EM at my church I try to help volunteer when I can. I don’t let my husband bully me into not going to church. I know I still need help getting through my everyday life but it is way WAY BETTER with Jesus in it !!!Show lessSatisfied with Him
