This update is all about wineries and wine retailers: • you can now get a lot of information on them within the app, by using the search filters on the Wines tab, or tapping on their names on any wine's page, • you can follow wineries and retailers and see news from them about new wines, events and more, • you can read the latest stories from all of your favorite wineries and retailers on the updated News tab, • you can now learn even more about the wines you taste, with the newly added tasting notes from wineries and retailers, • and you can enjoy using Endless Wine even more since we squashed some bugs and refined the app's interface. Here is our first update for 2023 and it's huge! • We are introducing detailed information about countries, wine regions and grape varieties, and the newly added wine styles! This allows you to get more information about the wines you taste: • characteristics of its country of origin and wine region, • knowledge about the wine’s grape varieties and the wines made from them, • recommended tasting temperature, • recommended decantation time, • recommended aging length in years, • foods that go well with it, • and if you liked it, similar wine recommendations for next time. • The Country & Region filter has a new look, which makes navigating the region-tree easier. • You are now able to pull down the wines list on the first tab to refresh it and enjoy a nice little animation. • Deleting Notifications got a bit easier too: you can now swipe left to delete them. • And yet again, we squashed a lot of bugs and refined the app's interface. We are introducing push notifications so we can notify you whenever something interesting happens, like when we find a new personalized wine recommendation for you! We added the notification bell button to the Wines and News screens and made notifications tappable so you can easily check out the wine the notification is about. You can even set your preferences for what you want to receive via push or within the app: you'll find a new "Notifications" button on the Settings screen for this. And while we were on the Settings screen, we updated it so that is displays only those contact options that are appropriate for the language you chose for the app. And there is even more: we gave a big performance boost for when you switch between tabs, added a "Refresh" button to in-progress wine searches, and we auto-filtered wine subtypes by the wine type when you add a new wine. Phew, that's a lot... and on top of that, as usual, we fixed a couple of bugs. We hope you like this update! Personalized wine recommendations have gotten even more personalized: there is now a new Recommendation Settings button in the Settings screen where you can adjust the level of importance for each recommendation category (Similar Taste, New Vintage, Great Deal, Top Rated and Quest Item), which will affect our recommendations to you. Also in this version we introduced welcoming slides that will appear when you first open the app without being logged in. And yet again, we squashed some bugs and refined the app's interface. This time we've brought you an amazing new feature: personalized wine recommendations! Based on your wine ratings within the app, we can now recommend wines you haven't tasted yet but will probably like. And the more wines you rate, the more accurate our recommendation engine gets for you. So now you have another reason for tasting wines. You're welcome! :) Also in this version we added the possibility to pinch & zoom wine photos for when you want to examine the label from up close. The highlight of this update is a very useful and visually pleasing new feature: photos for the wines! • We are introducing photos into the app, which helps in identifying your wines and is also nice to look at. • Another immensely helpful new feature: we added search fields at the top of wine filters that have many filter options, and also to the Add New Wine screens. • The short wait after launching the app is now more pleasant thanks to nice new mockups that show you the data is loading and will arrive soon. • There's now an option to show & hide the password on the Login & Registration screens. • And yet again, we squashed a lot of bugs and refined the app's interface. With the new year comes a huge update to Endless Wine! 4 months of hard work went into an exciting new feature and a lot of polishment: - The big news is we are introducing Quests! It makes wine tasting even more fun because from now on you'll not only taste awesome wines but you'll also get rewarded for trying new wines. :) Quests even give you ideas on what to taste next to further enhance your wine knowledge. You'll find all your in progress and completed Quests on the Profile screen, and each Wine screen will inform you on which quests that particular wine will help you progress with. Have fun! - There's now a new Language selection option on the Settings screen, so you'll be able to use Endless Wine in a different language than your iPhone, if you wish. - Speaking of the Settings screen: we added an Edit My Profile button to it where you can change your Public Name & your Country of Residence. - Support for password manager apps has also arrived which should make it easier to log in. - On the Wine screen we increased the font size for reviews so you'll be able to better see what you and others wrote. - When you launch the app and quickly tap on any of the search filters, there's now a loading animation until the necessary data is received from our servers. - For the wines you already rated the Wine screen showed a lot of "Unknown" texts for about a second, until the data loaded, but not anymore. - We changed the color of the Add New Wine and the Save buttons because they looked disabled before. - Unfortunately iOS 15 introduced a lot of bugs into Endless Wine but now everything works fine again, sometimes even better than before! :) - We added a request for you to rate Endless Wine in the App Store, not only because a 5 star rating would be an awesome feeling for us but also because with this you would tremendously help us in reaching other wine enthusiasts. A lot of thanks if you rate the app! - Finally, we squashed a lot of bugs related to wine search & filtering, text display, usability, and data duplication. We hope you'll like this update!
