Advantages?
There is also no way to get rid of the giant annoying prompt to sync your Google contact list that takes up a third of the screen at the top of your contacts list. Don't use Google contacts? Doesn't matter: we're still going to prompt you, largely and loudly, every single time you open the app, to sync that contact list you don't have. And if you write to us to ask whether this giant annoying prompt can be removed, we will ignore your email. Pretty great, huh?
I haven't used the app heavily yet, which may be the reason I haven't found any reasons to love it yet. But so far I haven't found any reasons to love it, and have found two reasons not to.
And now I have gone back and looked at the list of touted advantages to this contacts app and have found no real ones. At least none that apply to me as a non-user of Google contacts. All the supposed advantages of this app appear to me to be things Apple's Contacts app already does just fine. So what's the point?
What is this supposed to do?

EXCELLENT SOFTWARE
It makes contacts simple

Hi David, We are so happy to hear you enjoy our app! So many people don't realize how much info is sitting in their contacts, and how much of that can become useful the second it's clean and organized. Cheers, The Sunshine Team
Super!
Very cool and clever app!

If this is made to work on device then I’ll give it a go. Contact cleanup is something I’ve always looked for so was really excited about this
Doesn't actually clean up contacts?
It does as good job of suggesting merges and changes.
However, on the cleanup front, I was disappointed to learn that the cleanup functions (merge, info fill-in) don't update the contacts at their source (iphone, Google) and, instead, keep those additions at a layer above the source so I have to keep using Sunshine for everything. I want the changes sent back to the source so they're available everywhere.

Hi Hazpoco, We are currently working on an export feature so you can see the Sunshine improvements in your iPhone and Google contacts. We're working hard to make sure the export feature integrates seamlessly with not only your iPhone and Google contacts, but with all the other apps that may access your contacts as well. If you have any other questions or feedback, you can reach us via the Support menu in the app or at support@sunshine.com. We appreciate all your feedback and reports to help make our app better. Thank you, The Sunshine Team UPDATE: Hi Hazpoco, We are excited to announce our Sync feature that will allow you to sync the improvements from Sunshine into your iCloud and Google contacts. We'd love for you to try it out!
Interesting but didn’t provide any new value
(Also very nit picky but why did I have to add a picture for myself in a portrait size only for the app to crop it to a square. It literally cut the top part of my head off in my own contact card)
