A Good Alternative with Outdated Memes
iFunny OG has over the years become a cesspool of low IQ right wing propaganda (a term which I don’t use lightly) and blatant racism, sexism, and overall negativity. iFunny X provides a decent alternative to the app by removing the incessant politics, racism, and misogyny. It even allows you to connect your old account with the app. Honestly, scrolling through the memes and seeing little to no negativity brought a huge sigh of relief to me. Not to mention the interface is verbatim the same one from the OG, so it’s literally iFunny without the toxic community. It’s almost a dream come true.
There’s only one slight problem: the featured section. My main gripe is that most of the features seem to date somewhere around early 2021, meaning you’ll see meme references that are pretty dated, though not overwhelmingly so. You can still find up to date items in the collective or through the search function, so it’s not too much of an issue, but the main draw is the featured section and up to date memes would be appropriate. And honestly, I’ll take out of date memes that may verge a bit on being vanilla over constantly hearing about how Trump is still president, how Biden is the spawn of Satan, etc.
iFunny X is an example of what iFunny can be when done right. If the OG could take example from this, it might be the meme Haven it once was. Until then, I guess let the racists and bigots have their echo chamber. Someone’s going to destroy it sooner or later.Musician 96

I’ve used iFunny since 2016 and this new version is so terrible, everything on this version is censored where the original is all about free press. The Russian invasion is all over the og app and this is more like tiktok hiding everything. The old community isn’t “toxic” you are just soft. So if you want a good app delete this and download the OG IFunny, you can thank me laterChandler Jessup
